An Apple MacBook Air inspired luxury styled toilet seat

Would you like to have a luxury seat that was designed, on some obscure level, with ideologies taken from Apple’s MacBook Air? Even if it looked like, functioned and in reality actually was a toilet seat? And more importantly, would you pay up to $850 for it? While these may sound like the raving questions of a madman, I can assure you, they’re not. A design firm called Pinkhouse has been trying very hard to break in to the haute couture furniture business with what some would call fashion furniture and others, simply absurd.

The firm was hell bent on developing a chic, comfortable toilet seat (go figure) and after various mark-ups, designs, re-designs, prototypes, research conducted by visiting various hardware stores from all over, they finally found a design that they thought would be most appealing to today’s consumer, the Apple MacBook!

Though it may not look anything like it, perhaps the cover might bear some resemblance to the MacBook Air’s display section and the overall sleek, slender (I can’t believe I’m saying this) styling of the seat. The cover is actually laser-cut 12-gauge steel, and is slightly bent and powder-coated in a range of colors. The Seat itself is made from Maple which not only sturdy but has a warm, traditional hardwood appeal. The company says that they’re also working on plastic models that would be more affordable (thank goodness).

While it might be very wrong to say that Apple’s designs seem to be going down the toilet, but I meant that in a very literal way, if this is what things have come to. While just the toilet seat cover sells for about $260. The Toilet chair (yes, there’s even a chair) goes for as high as $850. I guess when you need to make a fashion statement, regardless of where it might be placed in your home or what it’s “function” is, price is not an obstacle.

Be honest... which one of you bought one?

If you buy just the lid, you'll have a square seat on a round toilet. If you buy the whole toilet, you'll have a square toilet. There are no winners when buying macbook toilets.

Seriously though, lol. Some people will attach an apple title to anything to make a buck. If someone actually buys one of these(and somebody probably will)...

Even though the article was posted on March 31st, I hope it's an April Fools joke. If not...

I could see the people forking out $10k for an Apple Watch purchasing this as well.

Anyone use Apple Pay. Just setup my debit card today

Not only are there not many places that support it but imo it's not worth the liability that comes with it. Also, did you know that you can't even use Apple Pay on iTunes, or App Stores. Probably because when you hear of the first Apple Pay breach/theft they don't want it happening on their own territory.

Unfortunately none of my banks support it yet so I have not personally used it. Howeve, I've been with a friend at a Panera bread who used it and it's pretty seamless.

You can use them at Apple Stores.

The app store and iTunes are tied to your Apple ID which accepts touch ID. Not sure what your point is.

Not only that but Apple Pay doesn't store your info in the cloud. It's only on a chip in your phone and it's Tokenized, meaning the 16 digit number is not stored. This is how all credit cards are going to be in the next few years too.

I use it a few times a week. I have a debit and 2 credit cards linked. More and more retailers are accepting it. Home Depot is one where I use it and then they email my receipts.

I have the 6. Have had two blackberrys, a 3GS, 4S, 5, and this 6. The 6 is so much better than any phone I've owned that I'm wondering if I messed up and should have gotten the 6+.

I agree completely about second guessing going with the 6

 nice.

A friend of mine sent it over night. It was one of the first things I saw in the morning. Took me a couple minutes to figure it out.

I sent it to another friend. He deleted the thread trying g to fix it.

The Score,Watch ESPN, Dish anywhere, Documents 5 and kindle. I use an IPad mini 2. I've had for about two weeks now. I don't use a smartphone anymore. Btw there isn't any major difference between an mini 2 compare to a mini three. I'm not trying to be an Apple salesmen but you can't go wrong with an iPad, imo lol.
