Iran doesn't want direct conflict. They have an issue with support at home. Their attack did not send the message they wanted. In fact it projected weakness and showed they lack support from their neighbors, but signaled their ambition to strike Israel.
The message Israel sent was much clearer. They have some cooperation from their neighbors, and they can deliver where Iran couldn't.
Israel doesn't say much, they are a classic example of "talk is cheap" they don't threaten they warn, then act. Iran was just put on notice, there are no more warnings.
And judging from Iran's public response it appears they understand.
