YES!!!!!!!!!! F---!!!!!!! if he is DUMB and STUPID enough to wait till after the UK game, there WONT be a big name coach wanting to come to this mess of a program and we will be BACK to where we started 3 yrs ago!!! Do we as fans want that?? HELL NO!!!! if this program is to survive then the admin better do something QUICK!!!!!! Do they even care about the slow demise of this once proud storied program with LOTS of tradition??? Sounds like if they REALLY cared they would have announced the new coach WEEKS ago!!!

Who knows. Dave Hart may surprise us and pull a great coach out of his hat. If UT starts sounding off who they are possibly going after, Auburn, KY, and ARK are sure to follow and put pressure to steal that name IMO.

The money is there.... Will it be used in the right way

We are way past the point where the fanbase deserves to hear something from Hart. That doesn't mean he has to act now, it means he needs to acknowledge the fans' concerns and communicate with them. If he really hasn't decided, then he needs to put out a statement saying that he is reviewing and monitoring the situation, that he hears the fans' concerns and takes them seriously, and that he will make a decision at (whenever) time.

The longer this rides out, the higher chance that he will continue to lose the fanbase and then it'll be him that fans are ready to run out of town.

Hamilton may have talked a lot but he has a lot to do with the current situation at UT. We don't need a guy to talk a lot. Just make good decisions. Hart needs to make one here.

EVERYBODY already knows he will be gone...it was posted my many news media yesterday....every Vol fan knows what is going to happen....so really...why wait?

IMO I believe Hart is waiting till he gets a coach in place and is going to announce the new coach at the same time as the departure of Dooley. My reasoning is that you would be a lot less likely to lose recruits if they don't have to wait around to see who is going to coach them next year. That time looking for a coach gives other schools the chance to come in and take the recruits away. I think its a smart move on Harts part. Thats just my opinion though.

and what if Hart doesn't get a coach in place before the end of the season? does he still not say or do anything?

Why wait? Because he honest to God has not made a decision yet. Dooley put his butt out there today saying either the sources were wrong or Dave Hart wasn't being up front with him...In other words, he'd be flat out calling Hart a liar if there was already a decision made. Dooley's smarter than that. That said, he said a decision hasn't been made IF they go 6-6. I think he implied there that one more loss and his butt is immediately toast. His butt is probably toast anyway, but it has not been decided yet.

See there. You are really fired up about this. Honestly, it doesn't make a hill of beans difference when they pull the trigger IMO. There were fans wanting him fired after UK last year, after Florida this year, after Akron this year, after uga. He was going to be fired after USCe "for sure" and Gruden hired because "inside sources" knew something...or...NOT. Cause they didn't.

Just settle down and let it play out. Two weeks is just not that big of a deal.

Somewhere below a poster stated that Haslem said "the season isn't over yet" at a charitable event. Of all the stories people say about who said what on here, that's the one that sounds the truest...to me at least.

Hart is not on Vols fans' schedule. He'll make an announcement no later than the Monday following the UK game.

IMO he's a professional and doing what he thinks is best for the big picture....when you lead a huge organization NOTHING is done quickly...NOTHING!!!...rule number one...NOTHING IS DONE QUICKLY!!!!

Harts only goal is to make us Alabama North.He is waiting on Kirby.That way he gets to hang on to Sal who he feels bad about since he pushed DD to hire him.People keep mentioning Cut but he doesn't even have a winning coaches record.If Hart doesn't want to spend the money and we either hire and pay for the big name coach or stay destined for middle or lower in the SEC forever.

I do think it is time to go for Dooley as much as I like him and wanted him to well. Our defense has been really bad and not coach well at all. But going back to Hart if he was the one that brought Sal in and we know Sal is not getting the job done. Is Hart going to take the blame for that. Again I think Dooley needs to go but if it was Hart that set Dooley up with Sal then I don't have much respect for Hart either.

I would prefer they keep him here until the last game and then fire him. There is no point in creating a bunch of drama right now. We won't find a new coach until after the season and an interim head coach won't do any better, so why not wait.

which he should. remeber he has to make sure candidates understand ut has fixed the issues administratively. We can't just fire dd and have the same issues as before. Because if all the key players leave 013 is a wash anyway. May as well see what Hart can do. But if he can't get a good coach now may as well keep dd and search for the next year. unless he loses to vandy because uk doesn't have a chance. Hart isn't going to l et the fb program continue to slide without a plan. he was at fsu and bama during their peek for gods sake.
