Have patience, word on the streets is Hart is keeping his mouth shut until the end of the year because an agreement has already been made under the table that necessitates silence. I'm crossing my fingers anyways
There's no plan in place. Hart has never done this before and is stalling for time. It's going to cost us, because Arkansas and (probably) Auburn are out there already talking to coaches' agents. Hart is sitting around hoping the boosters land a hail mary with Gruden. I hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't make any sense to me why Hart wouldn't have started the official coaching search by now, unless he was in over his head or was trying to keep Dooley (which would mean that he doesn't care if UT wins or loses).
4) As much as I want Dooley gone, and I DO WANT HIM GONE, I'm starting to kinda feel sorry for the guy. I mean he's being left to dangle in the wind, having to tell the media about his own job status b/c Hart doesn't seem to have the (foot)balls to do it. It's almost cruel at this point.
OK, by "word on the street" you mean you know someone who would know, and that's what they are saying? I mean, I've heard that speculated on the board but it's always "well I think"....Would love to know that it's true.
Word on the street is that Hart is seriously looking at Tommy Tuberville and Al Golden. If that is his definition of "homerun hire," then we probably need to be looking for a new AD as well.
At this point anything anyone says is speculation because it isn't official. But you can take "insider info" for what it's worth (which is probably crap). I gathered the above information from a variety of posts in the Coacing Speculation forum. Obviously not a concrete source but that's why I said I was crossing my fingers.
Hart will not hire rubberville
1) He's had virtually no communication with the fans throughout this whole Fall. He's been like a ghost. I mean not even positive communication, encouraging the fans, making announcements, etc. For all of Hamilton's many many faults, he did communicate with the fans.
Just going on what I read in the "Mr. Sec" blog. According to him, seems that Arky is already trying to lock-up Patterson. No need to panic, but there also needs to be a small sense of urgency before all the good coaches are gone.
If we don't get Patterson or Gruden, (or some other big name), I'd rather just stick with Dooley.
....what would Hart have to say right now, regarding Dooley, that would satisfy folks?
