Is it our OC or QB

Could it be…….
1. Our QB is good but not great And at times does have trouble seeing the entire field along with getting the ball out on time.
2. Aside from our center, we don’t have any All-Sec offensive lineman.
3. Other than squirrel white, our receivers, have a hard time to consistently make catches employees whether it be too inconsistent quarterback yard play, dropped, passes, or lack of separation. We don’t have a Biletnikoff winner at receiver with another NFL wide receiver next to him.
4. For whatever reason, the chemistry just isn’t there with this offensive team.
5. On fourth down and one, how come we cannot take a snap under center? Why must we run it out of the shotgun?
6. All the above.

Trying to determine if the reason we run much more conservative calls when we are

1. In the red zone
2. Backed up in our half

Is it because they don’t trust Joe?

Or is it because Alex left?

Curious as to the opinions of others.

O line isn't as good as last season.

WRs can't get separation like last season.

The QB isn't as adept at reading a defense and making a decision as last season.

There are 2 WR, a RT, and a QB that made NFL rosters from last season off the top of my head.

All that affects the play calling. Throw in the switch in OC and I don't think there is any one reason the offense is struggling on comparison to last season .

The ones on here attacking the team, is it that time of the month? Like chill. Heupel has brought us to relevance, we’re close to competing for the promise land. Why are you throwing a toddler fit?
This loss hurt because we should have won this game and could have if the coaches had kept the pressure on instead of playing not to loose. And it saddens me to see the defense play so hard, good enough to win the game only to let the offense hand them the game. It's also troubling to be this far into the season and not see much progress in the passing game or offense in general. We should be getting better and coming into a team that knows how to win, but just don't

What are we close to? Tell me what the season means to you when you lose to FL, Bama, and GA? Shall we celebrate beating the teams that we should be beating every year without issue?
We were close on the road at bama. We lost to Florida with 3/5ths of our starting o line out. This is a dumb conversation. We knew this year was a rebuilding year. Tennessee is close.

How many balls did Joe throw over 30 yds down field?

- lack of trust in QB?
- receivers not getting open?
- OL not giving Joe time?
- Joe not reading his receivers quick enough?

This is a big deal for the offense IMO. We need 6-10 deep shots per game and we have had few this season. Teams are probably playing us different. But Joe Milton needs plenty of deep shots. It's a play he can make to his strength. Dink & dunk with mixed runs is not enough.

So they're basically using two guys on him and no one else is open? Dedicate two guys. Somebody is open then. It's checkers on grass, that's what football is..
You are correct, this is football. Not basketball. In football, the defense has an inherent numbers advantage because one of the offensive players is a quarterback. Hence, why they are able to double one guy and still cover up everyone else. C’mon, what is this? Amateur hour?

Tennessee is “close” is a dumb conversation. No one thought this was a rebuilding year. I urge you to look at how many seniors we have playing ball right now before you start this “close” speech.

It's our statue, great first half, we on cloud 9. Then sleep Joe shows up for the second half. It's not all on him. Heuple needs to take a gut check. IF it's 4th and 1 with a 6'5 240 QB , go under center and go forward!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, wake up. Heupel is capable but apparently quite content with the big picture which does not include UT winning against Alabama. He can win this game if he chooses to do so. He quit and his team did as they were told to. If it were simply about winning, we are all happy tonight. Bigger things going on and UT is not a part of it. Our coaches didn’t forget how to coach/win
At halftime.
Our players didn’t forget how to win/play at halftime. Take a step back; you may be able to understand why UT fans are disappointed. UT isn’t part of the plan this year,
I hope we are in the future and I hope when our team wins it is due to their desire,
Preparation and coaching. I’m convinced college football is no better than boxing, very sad but tonight confirms much to me.

Who should we hire? Let’s fire him. Let’s start over.

Ok coach... Well Mr Milton has to run more. Maybe OC help him out a little. I saw some Amateur hour in the second half. No slants. No intermediate passes. Just run to set up the punt.. It was hot garbage just like the first half of the UF game..

Agree. Joe has had success this year with the deep ball on occasion so what is it? We lost some elite WRs to NFL. I'm betting Joe just doesn't have burners who can run routes. I don't see the whole field on TV so that's a guess.

Great WRs can make an average QB look really good.

It’s both. But responsibility ultimately falls on the coaching staff. They were unwilling (or incapable) of recognizing what fans that have never coached a down of football in their lives were easily about to recognize…Milton isn’t good.

He’s never had a single game where he was a dynamic difference maker. I really thought heupel would have encouraged Milton to look around after that first year, but eventually it became obvious that Milton was the plan for life after a hooker. I just don’t get it.

Milton regularly badly misses wide open wrs, he can’t make really athletic plays with his legs, and he makes dumb mental mistakes (like today when he held the ball too long and fumbled) in every game we’ve ever seen him appear in.

It’s not on Milton. The skill set is what it is. It’s just not very good. Fault lies with heupel for not recognizing what Milton was and then continue to stick with him, no matter what the results are.

Did I suggest we fire the coach? I simply stated it is my belief that our coach and AD are compliant with the system. I think our coach is absolutely capable of winning, but after what o saw tonight, I believe
He is complete compliant with what he is told to do.
Not that difficult…

Show me where I said that? I’m more concerned that people like you stop serving me **** and trying to convince me it’s chocolate cake. Realistically, we aren’t in a good spot, and we aren’t beating the teams we need to beat to be “back”.

You’re like a teenage girl. Upset and not being objective. “Daddy didn’t do what I wanted so he’s not serious.” This was all on the refs. Heupel made a bone headed call but that didn’t cost us the game. Sit down.

And stuff like this, is what will probably be his (Heupel's) downfall. Milton has struggled under both Harbaugh and Heupel. It has been way past time to bench him.

“Changed”. Let me fill you in. This QB has lost his job everywhere he has went. We started him 2 years ago. Due to injury, we stumbled upon the best QB we’ve had in some time. Here we are again. Kind of the definition of Ludacris. You’re welcome.

Joe was passing good today, why they went to what they did makes no sense. Not sure why they ran Small so much when Wright and Sampson ran it better
I just don't get why change in the 2nd half
Stealing victory over to defeat? I’m scratching my head still
