There was one asst. coach that tried to blast the players and let them know, this is not the way Lady vols teams play the game. She's now back in Kentucky. The fundamentals are lacking. Holly is everything Pat wasn't. There is no accountability from the players. Green seems to have the green light (no pun intended) to shoot at will. Her percentages are unacceptable. Several players seem lost on the court. The number of turnovers is unacceptable-a key fundamental. We have not recruited by position-post play needs work-great rebounding at times be muffed layups. What are the assistant coaches doing? Watching Holly coach in such a muddled manner is sad. We need the enthusiasm of Burrell and Massengale to spread to the entire team. Too many players seem to be sleep walking. We are very inconsistent in scoring from game to game-defense unfortunately is consistently bad. One glaring area is that we are incapable of shutting down the three point shooters. To many players become all stars when they play us. Phil needs to show some guts and address the issue that we are yesterday's news. Mississippi State and USC can find coaches who can inspire their players to grow and achieve greater heights, why can't we? We need a Rick Barns clone.
The Ladyvols are not in the top 15.Holly will keep UT in the top 15 as long as she is here. She seems to recruit very well. But she will never bring home a national championship. If she is fired, there is always the chance we get someone worse.. I don't want UT to fire Holly without a good game plan with a pretty clear direction on who they will replace her with.
that coach now at kaintucky was the one that came up a fat goose egg in recruiting in 16
YES! Everything starts and ends with the head coach. Don't make excuses for her incompetence. Can we really blame Holly for the various Lady Vol debacles and inconsistencies? Just maybe she is a victim of her environment. She learned at the feet of one of the greatest, if not the greatest, basketball coaches to grace a women's basketball sideline. Holly has limited experience with any other coach or team. In the past, the Lady Vols had the best women's basketball players on the planet, however, that is not the case today. All the best players are not playing in Knoxville, they are spread among the top 10 to 15 teams. What won for the Lady Vols in the past will no longer get it done. Women now play the inside/outside game, they play a version of the motion offense and the good teams are physical. Top coaches all display a version of the Summitt stare, they don't simply pat you on the butt and say, "that's okay." They know how to make game changes on the fly and have plans that don't necessarily stop the other team's best scorer but at least make their shots difficult.
Maybe as an assistant and player, Holly realized too much success and very little adversity. Just maybe the Lady Vols, being so dominant in their hay day, made winning seem too easy, all you had to do is get a bunch of 5 stars and you were guaranteed success. All the early Lady Vol success and the intimidation, that automatically brought fear to their opponents to the point they were defeated before the initial jump ball, made losing unthinkable.
Maybe, it is simply the fact that Holly may never get it because she does not have the mettle to be a successful head coach.

Is it true as someone posted earlier, that she hired her girlfriend to be a staffer? This kind of preferential treatment is often a sign of lack of discipline and vision. If any of that is true.
