Other people standing for the anthem is now “horrifying” and “dystopian”?
People standing for national anthem horrifies progressives in viral video
You agree with the sentiment? That’s it’s scary and dystopian?Sometimes I can't believe the **** people get worked up over. Did you guys read the article? I agree with the sentiment, who cares if people have a weird tradition? That's not scary. Also, who cares if others make fun of it and do not understand it? According to the article, "other" tick-tock users commented words like "scary" (maybe in jest? we'll never know because the article doesn't show us the comment).
NY Post: Let's write a clickbait article that makes it seem like all these people are "horrified" in the title, and then the only comments we actually share in full are just peanut gallery **** talking, like
“Serious question. Is this real? Like people actually do this in real everyday life?”
One TikToker revealed she worked at American restaurant Mission BBQ and had to stand for the anthem every day. “I hated it there so much,” she complained.

I think kneeling for the anthem is “weird”, but I support your right as an American to do so.Standing for the anthem in a restaurant is weird and the NY Post is complete garbage
This was in California. The people making the conscious decision to choose to stand were probably in the minority.I wouldn't say forced but I'd say if I was in a restaurant and everyone stood up for the anthem and I didn't it might be a little uncomfortable.

No one forced those people to stand. They were in California too. Wasn’t backwater Mississippi where this dystopian scene played out.
I don’t think anyone claimed their right to stand was being restricted. Did you see that somewhere? No one is infringing upon their rights as Americans to randomly stand at attention in a restaurant either. Seems like they’re just saying it’s weird as **** which is another American right

I believe the point was how their conscious choice to stand for the national anthem was characterized - a horrifying, dystopian display.
I hope they are horrified. I wonder what they think of the prayer before the Big Orange football games. They must absolutely lose their minds over that.Other people standing for the anthem is now “horrifying” and “dystopian”?

You mentioned weird. That’s why I put “weird” in quotes. You mentioned that you support my right to do the “weird” thing, when as far as we know that’s true for the people involved here as well. No one’s rights are in danger here.
They compared the general scene to a horror movie from what I can see, and I can certainly imagine a Get Out-type horror movie or Huxleyesque dystopia where someone plays the flag song and everyone, including in restaurants, has to stop what they’re doing and stand at attention. Not article-worthy at all but NYP wants to bait headline readers with sensationalism
Who has to stop and stand at attention? No one. You can stand, sit, or kneel. All options are available to you - your choice.where someone plays the flag song and everyone, including in restaurants, has to stop what they’re doing and stand at attention.
