Is it time to play UCONN?

Facts seems to be something you are not familiar with. Have you read the reported "violations"? Did you read the outcome? Facts would not support your position at all. Now if you want to discuss discrimination against women and women's sport at a university then there's something to talk about.

Still can't find it in you to post any facts re Geno's recruiting violations, huh? But boy you're all over that apology business straightening the rest of us out on the tiniest details. Right.

Let me get this right...Because you have no facts you'd like the very people you're attacking with lies to make some up for you ? How smart.

BTW: a regular season meeting between Tennessee and Connecticut won't happen unless Tennessee apologizes to Connecticut. Once that happens I'm guessing Connecticut might consider helping you out. You're now just another pretty good program; reaping what you've sown. You have a coach who's hopelessly stuck in a version of the game that is outdated. A roster of McD All-Americans that come unglued on a regular basis because of aforementioned antique coaching. A non-existent recruiting class. And a national reputation that apparently isn't very appealing to high school players, their parents, or their coaches. They know what's happened in Knoxville, they read your board, and they are acting accordingly. Only Tennessee can fix Tennessee. Good luck.

We don't need any help from UConn as we still out draw UConn every season and the program makes a little money unlike the UConn program. I agree we need a different coach and it will happen when the majority of fans get tired of inconsistent play, but now or never will we need UConn for anything or their help in any sport.

It has been rumored that Geno has stated he would only restore the rivalry games if Tennessee issues a formal apology to himself and UCONN.

I say to hell with Geno.

The rumor as you stated is not correct. Warlick made overtures to UConn and Auriemma responded - The quote is from Warlick btw.

I asked him if he wanted to play," said Warlick, who had been Summitt's long-time assistant. "He said he would if I apologized to his fans, former players, Maya Moore, her mother. I'm not going to do that."

There is no mention of Auriemma demanding an apology.

Nah. Definitely not a Chicago pie. Geno is a Philly guy. Ironically the photo was taken from Pat's Steaks (Geno's competitor for years in for Best Steak in Philly) across the street.

Now that Stewart, Jefferson and Tuck have graduated they might be vulnerable. Should TENN try to get them on the schedule while UCONN isn't the most dominant team in WCBB? Or should they stay away because of hurt feelings?

They will probably have a freshman point guard. The only senior will be coming off the bench. Two likely starters will be sophomores and no dominant big to control the lane. If TENN can get them, this might be the time. Holly could lose 20 games next year, but if she beats UCONN she could get a raise and an extension. What say you?

I don't see next year's Lady Vol team beating your Huskies, but I could envision ND, Baylor, or MD doing it. ND might even put a whooping on them (at least for one year).

I think next year the Irish are the new UCONN (but I also thought the LVs would only lose 3-4 games this year, so what do I know).

So, now that you have a chance (albeit slim) of beating UConn you want to play them? But, you wanted no part of them when when you knew you didn't stand a chance? LMAO! That's classic! Your program is in UConn's rear view mirror.

Totally disagree. Did you watch them lose? They were awful defensively, their freshman were huge liabilities, not the typical smart Irish I am used to watching and they are selfish offensively. Turner much be wondering why the heck she went there.

How about lets let the numbers do the talking for a while... Since 1981-82:

UT 1026-192 84.24%
UCONN 991-208 82.65%

NCAA tournaments:
TENN CONN
Appearances 34 to 28

Sweet 16's 6 to 2

Elite Eights 6 to 5

Final Fours 5 to 6

Runner ups 5 to 0

Champions 8 to 11

even with the fall off we have had, UT still hands UCONN their humble pie.

Yeah, a strange combination of arrogance coupled with a huge inferiority complex.

Arrogance ? Perhaps. My apologies...but 10 years of being subjected to lies can bring out bad behavior.

Inferiority ? Don't think so. It is UConn after all.

Won't post any longer...unless it's to thank you for providing those "facts" you're so concerned with.

BTW: don't give up in your search. Whenever you feel discouraged just tell yourself Yes UConn.

I hope this isn't that "positivity" you promised earlier in another thread that you said was coming later today

Nah, gonna visit from time to time in hopes of getting some "facts".

Are you stupid all the time or just when you visit Volnation. Don't answer that, I already know. You've totally forgotten what started this. One of your kissin' UConn cousins tried to straighten us out on the apology Geno demanded for being caught cheating. He's still waiting on the apology and you're still waiting on " facts". Why don't the two of you get together somewhere far away from here and wait...and wait...and wait.
