secretly, we have 12 commits, Vol Freak, Brent Hubbs, and JB have been all told to keep things quiet. they wanna release all the commits to the public on onr special night and create a new Tradition called Volkwanza

How many commits did Kiffin have at this point last year. 1. Nobody was bustin' his balls at the time. Why does Dooley get held to a different standard?

Maybe because...it's the staff's first year here? They haven't even been here 2 months. The reason Texas has so many commits is because they have continuity in their staff plus a recruiting hotbed. They bring in underclassmen to camps all the time and get tons of early commits.

seriously......do commits in this early in the year really matter??? jose jose and brandon willis and markeith ambles and j.c.copeland are all perfect examples

As long as ut puts a good team (at least 7 wins) on the feild in the fall it will end up with a good top 15 class.

How can you say they can't recruit when they miraculously pulled out a Top 10 class, which given circumstances was unbelievable. Dooley and Co., with lots of credit to CLT, pulled in Rogers, Stone, Hunter, and Neal.....these guys can recruit.

Someone should start a list that includes all of the Dooley haters...so they eat some serious crow when things start rolling...

ALL of UT's last three coaches only made one public speech between nsd and spring practice...

Our last coach only had 1 commit (J.Smith) at this time last year... and I'm not even gonna talk about Fulmer and his recruiting toward the end...

I rarely go to the football mb because of garbage like this... don't start bringing it in here...this is the third topic on this bull...

The number of commits is not the problem. The problem is that the recruiting buzz is not good right now. I mean its early i understand that but we are in barely any elite players to 10s or top 5s.

The problem is we all felt like we got kicked in the nuts and we are wanting the instant gratification of some payback. Give Dooley some time revenge is a dish best served cold.

Dooley is busy I am sure salvaging this program and learning of the existing players/new recruits as he has a team to put together for spring ball. I am sure he is still evaluating while recruiting softly for next year. We have never been a team to reel them in so early. We have always been a team that closes strong. There is a lot of time and many top players are still considering UT. We will be fine just fine and no need to shoot flares up this early. Let's get through spring practice first.

Besides, last year Kiffin booted more commits than we have committed right now. Remember Tahj Boyd and others?

For the record, I'm not a dooley hater... Just not a dooley lover either. I have the right to be skeptical. Because to this point, there seems to be more controversy than anything else. Besides offing a 2* QB to get Da'Rick Rogers, it's all been rocky IMO...


I took the same approach with Kiffin and it work out well, "I" never got burned...

Wow since everyone is saying how bad Dooley is doing maybe we should just drop football and just play basketball. Just because we dont have any kids committed right now means nothing. Alot of kids will wait and see how Tenn plays on both sides of ball. Since we have all new coaches. Texas has all the commits because of Mack Brown being there for a long time. Everyone inhale and exhale and relax
