Is mayor Pete on the hot seat?

From a person who works in DOT..Buttijug does 2 things:

- Gives us a 3 hour early release every Friday before a holiday.
- Transformed how management is rated, not on performance, but by how many minorities we can hire. Last week the vice president of my organization literally said "we are going to hire to make the FAA look like the community we serve" by targeting only HBCU's for candidates. Weird thing is our demographics already match what the flying public looks like racially. In fact we have too many blacks and Puerto Ricans if thats the route they are going.

In the end anytime someone says "we want our workforce to look more like the community we serve" its just coded gaslighting trying to create an unequal and unequitable distribution of races in an organization with "too many Whites".

Frankly..that is racist

According to the left, it’s equity.

See it’s important to have equal outcomes, even if that means discriminating against someone because of their race, gender, or nationality. Equal opportunity is not enough. We must centrally plan equal outcomes.

Progress!

It's hiring based on physical characteristics over qualifications risking performance like we saw with the cross dresser stealing peoples luggage. My guess is he wasn't the most qualified but he checked their DEI boxes.

Except when it comes to police. Instead of making the community better, local leaders want to defund to keep the vicious cycle going to have the bad guy. Would be ideal to have those from the community serve the community…not everyone goes to college. But those who graduate HS can return to help be part of the solution instead of the problem.

I'm a huge fan of Pete, I want to see him go farther, and I think he should. But lets face it, transportation is a disaster right now. The rail strike is about to devastate. They called them into dc today to talk it out, and all signs are it failed. You combine that with the airlines, and highway systems right now?

Is this a problem? Yes, I want to see Pete succeed.
He did succeed…gay, male, political mayor failure makes his way to Washington.

This is what you get when adults vote for a guy in a basement. Can’t blame Biden for those falling for him being “protected during an election”

People always want to be around people who look similiar to them and share similiar values. That just a sociological fact. Should a school have all White teachers in an all black neighborhood? Probably not. The kids, nor the teachers, will ever relate to each other in a productive way. Same goes with policing. The problem we run into as a society is when those scenarios exist the outcome for the non White kids is never the same as the White kids, unless we are talking about Asian kids. This all revolves around racial and ethnic cultural values and perceptions but the easiest thing to say is "systemic racism" as the root cause without folks doing some serious inner reflecting.

Then we come back to the "we want our workforce to look like the public we serve". 99/100 times a business probably already looks like this. If you have your workforces racial demographics matching the actual %'s in the USA that is never enough. 12% of your workforce is black? We gotta up them numbers to 50% to better represent the people we serve! Personally that comes off as rather dehumanizing to non minorities. But what do I know I'm just a straight racist White guy with a black workforce of 25%.

I’m genuinely curious what would happen if someone claimed to be African American to increase the odds of being hired. And then after they found out it was not the case the hire responds, “I identify as one and am just trying to live my own truth.”

Would that be the end of the discussion?

Which goes to my stance, be part of the solution and not the problem. Don’t be upset if you have other races doing those jobs from teaching to policing if the opportunities were not taken by the community.

I'm fine with city commuters, trail riders, and anyone who stays in a bike lane.

It's the ****ers on Broadway-esque roads and groups of ten on highways that piss me off.

I stopped riding after I left Texas. Made sense to drive again.

That’s Oak Ridge, 100%

Can't say I fit any of these molds but I can give you material if you'd like.

I drive a mom SUV, I have a collection of 35 bolo ties and wear one every day, and I went Dutch on a date last week to see how it felt.
Thats real man **** right there.

Looks like we got a lot of equalizing to do to get college and professional sports to reflect the public. Kinda funny when the numbers go the other way how everybody looks the other way and quotas are no big deal then.

Racial quotas only matter when talking about minorities. And making something look like the public you serve is just code for we need more than 12% black at this place.

Exclusive — Trump: ‘We’re Like a Third-World Nation’ with Buttigieg as Transportation Secretary

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio — Former President Donald Trump told residents of East Palestine on Wednesday that “We’re like a third-world nation” with Pete Buttigieg as Transportation Secretary.

“We’re like a third-world nation, and this is an example of it, the breakdown. Our whole country is breaking down,” Trump said while hanging out with residents of East Palestine in a McDonald’s on Wednesday.

BREAKING NEWS: Biden administration Watchdog to Investigate Pete Buttigieg's 18 taxpayer-funded government jet flights - after he insisted it was CHEAPER than flying in commercial economy class

A U.S. government watchdog will audit Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's use of taxpayer-funded government airplanes for trips, his office said on Monday.

The Transportation Department Office of Inspector General will review 18 flights Buttigieg made on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) planes over seven trips. The audit will also include a travel review by the previous Transportation Secretary under President Donald Trump, Elaine Chao, according to the Washington Post.

The costs of the flights for Buttigieg and staff was $41,905.20 and in six of seven trips, the department confirmed that flying on FAA planes was less expensive than flying commercial.

Only one organization in America controls the thermostat on that seat and that is the media. And the ONLY time they will turn up that thermostat on a Liberal is if they conclude that that liberal is not being liberal ENOUGH.
