Is the best of Bruce yet to come?

Just like Kiffin was, right?
Kiffin took a bad team and made them competitive with our two biggest rivals, the best 2 teams in the country. He also has proven to be an exceptional recruiter. The job Bruce Pearl did through the first season was great. However, he's been here a while and never cracked the final 8 and never really shows any signs of being able to do so.

I bet Nick Saban is breathing a sigh of relief that Kiffin is out of the picture.

I doubt it. You saw how Kiffin played that last series of the Alabama game, right? Like a coward. Nick Saban would eat Kiffin for lunch year in and year out if he still coached in the SEC.

I'll have to remember to dig up this post after Bama drills UT's eyes out in Knoxville this year.

Too bad he wasn't coaching an NFL defense against NFL offenses last year.

How did he do against the pro style offenses last year? Holding teams like Bama to less than 20. He didn't do terrible against the spread considering the man had minimal experience against it in the pros

Yeah. He should have just started throwing hail mary's against the countries best defense.

It was a good defense? I must have watched a different defense than you. The offense was better than the defense last year, if that tells you anything about the great Monte.

Yeah, it was a good defense. They ranked 22nd in the country and would have been better if not for the disaster at Ole Miss and some mop up time against Memphis.

I get it. Kiffin sucked because he left. Dooley is great because he's here. But please forgive if not all of us buy into that reasoning.

And considering we essentially played half the season without back ups on defense.

And in the Auburn game, we didn't really give our defense a chance because we rarely got first downs for half the game.

Kiffin sucked because he is immature. If you can quote me saying Dooley will be great, I will give you $100 paypal right now. You have 20 minutes, starting now.

Please no Dooley bashing on the basketball boards. Not that I am not scared to death, just that I'd kinda put it out of memory until August.

No what he should of done was kick an impossible field goal with horrible kicke with a bum leg to boot. Oh wait, that's what he did and we lost.

You must be right, then.

Yeah. There's no way Crompton could have threw an interception. Hardesty probably would have scored on the next run up the middle.
