As I said before, whatever a coach makes does not bother me in the least. It's obviously that this is your main gripe with Pearl, so if you would please enlighten me as lofton4three so kindly did.

Since Pearl's salary is the reason you are so downright ornery, when, in your opinion, did Pearl cease to meet your expectations? If you were ever "on fire for Pearl," when did you become a Pearl critic? Was it when he signed his latest raise? The one before? Thanks in advance.

That's my point. You're failing to realize that 98% of UT fans are happy with the results. Which is why UT ranks top 5 in attendance right now.

How the heck am I ornery? I like Pearl for the most part. All I am saying is if you are going to pay elite money it's not unreasonable for me to expect elite results.

To this point I am happy with Pearl, I watch every game I can and go to games when I can.

Are there things he does I don't agree with? Yes.

Nobody has disputed that.
This entire thread started because some guy trying to look at elite coaches first five years compared to Pearl and projecting him to have Coach K type of success which is absurd.

Overall I am happy, but that doesn't mean I can't criticize.

Disappear at the end? Seems to me the first half is when the team has been struggling this year. But that doesn't quite work for your (weak)punchline does it?

First half of what? I always seem to catch them playing the first half of the season. It's around mid to late March where they seem to disappear.
