Me either, but I think 5 years into it and we haven't seen amazing coaching jobs by Pearl in the tourney that would indicate that he is on the brink of getting us to the 2nd weekend.

I remember several fans who seemed to have a personal agenda against Fulmer, and they were the loudest when Phil had losing seasons while making $2.2MM per year... I cant imagine what some of these haters will do if BP has a poor season a la Roy Williams.

Well I haven't donated any money to UT. But if I did, I would be a little concerned that my money was just being used to help drive tickets sales rather than getting us to the Final 4.

I didn't have a personal agenda against him, but I was about sick of him after the LSU loss in the SECCG.

Caring about the results you get in relation to the price you pay is pretty fundamental.


Obviously that's no big deal to you. Can't say I'm shocked, though.

There are 15,000 people a game happy enough to pay. You may think you have the loudest voice on this website, but you would probably shocked to know that the majority of Tennessee fans are perfectly happy with the job Bruce is doing. As seen by the 100% boost in attendance over the past 4 years.

That's the thing, people got so "sick of him" that they went so far as to insult the man personally when he lost his grip on the game.

It's obvious to me that some people on here are "sick of Pearl" after four straight NCAA appearances (soon to be five) and an SEC regular season title. It baffles me why their expectations were set so high that some are now personally attacking Pearl.

I kinda wish they would be honest about it, instead of coming out of the woodwork like frontrunners whenever a bad loss occurs to rub salt in the wounds.

My voice or your voice does not change the fact if you pay elite money, you should expect elite results.

Not sure why that's so hard for you to understand. It could be that your head is planted so deeply in Bruce's rectum that it has impeded your ability to think logically.

Don't ask me. Ask the 15,000 people filling up TBA. If people werent happy with the baskteball program, it would be empty. You know, like it used to be every night before Bruce came.

And that's part of the issue. We have these "newcomers" to TBA who just came around when Bruce had some regular season success, like yourself, who then cry out who else we gonna git and where were we before Bruce?

But what public figure doesn't get 'personally' insulted? It comes with the territory. You can say what you want about me if you're going to pay me 2+ mil a year to embarrass UT.

How many seasons did Phil go without a conference title? When you go a full decade things change.

How many times times has Bruce been to the FF and how many national titles does he have?

It is absurd to compare Roy to Bruce.

If Roy has anything close next year to this the pressure will be dialed up on him as well.

I am on record saying that I dont care what Pearl makes, but I have an honest question... At what point, and please be specific, did you start expecting elite results? That is to say, when did your attitude shift from being okay with what Pearl was delivering, to wanting to go in a different direction?

I never have cared for Pearl personally.

But I want him to succeed here and move on. That way we're both happy.

I am not, and will never be, okay with paying any coach elite money just to make it to the Sweet 16. I'm real big on getting results on par with what you pay. We're not getting that.
