Is the world better off with the nation of Israel?

A question for the conservatives... Why doesn't this "America First" business apply to Israel? We have pledged to give them $3.8 billion per year through 2026 (Netanyahu wanted $4.5 billion per year). Of all the deals Obama made, this was easily the most expensive aid and yet Trump has never questioned it.
Except this year trump opted not to sign the sacred pact with Israel that states the United States must deny Israel has nuclear arms that gets signed every year. Kind of passé considering everyone knows they do. He will slowly back off support for Israel is my thoughts. The climate is ripe for it.

Are we not taxed? Doesn’t Israel receive a portion of that money? It’s been 70 years, sink or swim already.

Not arguing It.
And I don’t disagree.
We pay too many people outside the US and it should all stop.
We pay Israel to behave in my opinion.
It’s money to prevent the destruction of their neighbors and the Palestinians

Doesn’t look to be working, imo.

I agree completely, do away with all foreign aid.

As the law reads nobody is being forced to support a foreign country. You’re just not allowed to openly boycott them.
Again unnecessary law in my opinion. Most likely unconstitutional. So.....why hasn’t it been challenged before now?
It’s barely been discussed.
Oh, we need to be discussing it. Unfortunately, it is a hidden subject because the mainstream media (including FOXNews) will not report it.

If you are not allowed to openly boycott Israel, then that is a violation of the 1st Amendment.

I don't know how much simpler the issue can be.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong. Didn’t Airbnb announce earlier this they were going to stop working in Israel? Is that illegal under the law and did it effect them at all?

Wow, now that is breaking news. Was not aware of that.

This is the problem I referenced earlier.

It’s not been challenged since 1979. This isn’t new law. It’s an update. There’s bipartisan support and a serious lack of debate on the issue.
The bad is obvious but I’d like to hear the opposing view as to why it’s good and there’s nothing out there.

It’s odd

How come?
You can't bleed all over the place about the importance of saluting the flag and singing the national anthem or any other random activity that goes on before an NFL game that has ZERO implications or consequences on our individual lives... yet turn around and have no problem with us sacrificing our liberties and wealth for another country's best interests.

I really dont see how hard it is to see the similarities

You’re not allowed to join a boycott formed by a foreign country against an allied country.
That’s how it’s presented in the law. Or at least that’s how the legal bs reads to me so if Ras starts the boycott then it’s legal but if Palestinians do it it’s no bueno.

The more I read on it the weirder (if that’s a word) it gets

WTF difference does it make who organizes the boycott?

I have no idea but that’s how it appears to be written.

You seem to be of the mistaken opinion I’m supporting or defending this.
I’m not.
At this point I’m having trouble finding any information to even understand it.

I am not assuming anything about you. I'm just asking what difference does it make where or who organized the boycott?

**** if I know.
There doesn’t seem to be any information anywhere on why the law exists. Much less why it matters who starts the boycott.

The one thing we know for sure is both the Democrats and Republicans are all for it.

Edit: it seems to be the only thing they agree on.
