Is the world better off with the nation of Israel?

What are you babbling about? You threw out a speculation...

Then Pacer replied with why should that matter, which you then asked why single out Israel. But you missed the meaning of the what Pacer was asking when he said why does it matter.

It doesn't matter if it is Israel or Indonesia or Ireland... we don't need to have US civil liberties being attacked based on the sensitivities of a foreign country... period. If this legislation truly does include other countries, then your question of why single out Israel should be directed towards the media, because it is the media that has made the initial reports about this that singled out Israel... not Pacer.
Lol, it matters a lot. He was talking about American politics being held hostage by Jews/Israel. Nice job taking things out of context and twisting it though👍

Why would I be asking the media? I’m talking to Pacers not the media. It’s the media’s job to research for pacers to support his beliefs? Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Btw, yes, the original bill that was adopted back in the 70’s (that has hardly changed at all, just added on to) is all US Allies

Oh, it appears you’re the one who missed the point of him saying why does it matter. Everybody in this thread and discussion has agreed it’s a ridiculous, unconstitutional law. That’s not the point anybody is arguing, try and keep up. Or not and just confuse people’s arguments like Pacers has

It’s not my “belief”...it is fact that many Jewish lobby’s, such as AIPAC, many government officials with dual US/Israeli citizenships has an enormous influence on US law making and foreign policy...not to mention the grotesque amount of US tax dollars that go to Israel every year...

This isn’t a belief or conspiracy...this is fact.

Now, I have nothing against anyone that supports Israel, but when not supporting or boycotting ANY country outside of the US affects Americans financially, criminally, etc...I think any reasonable American would agree(and we all have) that it’s unconstitutional...

Maybe I didnt pose it correctly at first, but my question is/was this...

This law seems to be hitting a wall at the Federal level...how and why is it a law in 26 states? If put up for a vote...how many Americans would vote this in?

we do about 49 billion in foreign aid a year. Israel gets 3.8 billion of that. Afghanistan receives a good bit more

Slice believers

-we should be providing aid to absolutely no other countries.
-lobbies of any kind should be outlawed.
Along with drug reps....but that’s a different issue.
-we should bring our troops home from everywhere
-this is a terrible law as written.
-I understand the intent of supporting friends and allies but still unconstitutional.

As to why in 26 states.
Because most have no idea what they’re voting for and very few consider the implications beyond that issue in question.

yeah if someone up the party line doesn't say to challenge something they aren't going to. and if told to support they aren't going to look too deeply at it.

But it’s not the media’s job to help support those beliefs (whether they are true or not wasn’t my point). I’m sure they do have some influence, just as any other lobbyists do. But to say that US politics is held hostage by Israel/Jews is a bit extreme and isn’t just simply a fact

I’ll cede half of your point...

However, looking at laws like this, combined with our foreign policy...an argument could be made to the contrary...

I mean sure, there’s two sides to almost every argument. Not gonna disagree with you on that

nope, nope nope. do not like.

From the article

The bill would reaffirm defense cooperation with Jordan, provide humanitarian assistance to allies in the Middle East dealing with the fallout of the Syrian civil war, and authorize military defense and loan guarantees to Israel.

Why is any of this attached to states punishment and boycotting?
(Rhetorical). I can’t come up with any positives for the “anti boycott “ parts of the bill

Shocker.

This is like a Bilderberg meeting incognito...

What has Iran done...besides try and protect itself and it’s allies?
Did you see where we unsealed an indictment of an USAF intelligence officer that defected in 2013?
