‘Wrecking ball’ to international law: HRW slams Trump’s support for Israel’s claim to Golan Heights
Human Rights Watch has slammed the Trump administration for promising to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, describing it as sending a “wrecking ball” through the rights of Syrians living there.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to visit the White House on Monday, where Trump is expected to ratify a directive recognizing Israel’s territorial claim, despite international outcry that it goes against international law.
That’s what I thought. You have the same blatant disregard to international law as both the US and Israel does. The occupation of the Golan, West Bank and Gaza are all considered criminal by international law. Thieves...
Funny how you have blatant double standards.
Israel took those lands after defeating an enemy who attacked them unprovoked so they own those pieces of ground.
Prolly cause they hate jewsDouble standards? Are you referring to the Crimea which was Russian territory for 200 yrs before it was given to Ukraine? The simple fact on that whole deal is that if the US hadn’t staged a coup of the Ukrainian government...it would still be Ukrainian territory instead of Russian..
Unprovoked? That’s really laughable...
Then explain why international law deems these occupations criminal?
