You know what's odd? I saw a saw a wbir article on the "Vol coaches wives club" the other day, it talked about how close they all were, how they all loved it here, interviews with them and all, typical preseason tripe, but noticeably absent was ANY mention of Casey Pruitt. I did think that was pretty strange. The rest were all listed and pictured, featured. Maybe she refused to be part of the article, but None of the other wives mentioned her either. What's up with that, I was left wondering.

Gus said Auburn has great leadership. The only leader we have is Bituli. He was out and it showed. And you can’t win when your qb is so gun shy he takes the shortest route every play. Check down savant. Hope he gets pulled against BYU and we go with Shrout or Maurer into Florida.

That reminds me of another weird thing Pruitt said last season -- that his wife was Tennessee's #1 recruiter. I just remember thinking at the time that there's no way that was true and I wondered why he would say it. It was almost like he was trying to create the image of something that couldn't possibly be real.

My son-in-law as a kid was one of those bag wearing "ain't s". Only reason I see to not do this is we do not have a good wordplay nickname, "the Nol's"?, and where can we find orange paper bags?

I hope the lockerroom is split. I hope the upper classmen are taking a beating. 10 months ago everyone here was crapping on CBJ's "guys" and agreeing we needed an infusion of talent. Those same guys are still bad. Our only answer...freshmen. Does that ever work out?

I will agree that you can't lose to Georgia State. We stopped them 3 times only to have the drives extended by penalties. Some legit. Some not. But it still shouldn't have been that close that it mattered. We dropped multiple TD and first downs. JG put the ball where it needed to be in some key moments. Our TE who was labled our best player during the game had 2 key drops.

I always say a coach needs 3 to 4 years to get his guys and system in place. He has his freshmen stud OL and his young RB. He seems to have his secondary and has brought in youth at LB. A few injuries and a suspension killed this defense. But again...GA State? I don't know what I think. I am certain we either need to trust JG to throw more than 3 yards or put in a freshman there too.

I know this is a ramble, but I really have no friggin clue right now.

I get what you’re saying but you’d tank Bama because they win. You can’t tank a program already in the tank.

I've said this before but this is literally the dumbest argument made. Y'all are acting like no coach has ever been from somewhere else. The only way I would EVER believe this absurd theory is if we tank for 3 seasons and Pruitt gets the call to Bama for HC.

Pruitt wants to be a head coach and purposely ruining a program would be career sabotage.

Get realistic. If you think he's just a bad coach, call him one. Quit making these conspiracy theories.

That's hitting the nail on the head. A very large % of our problems are due to youth and inexperience. We have good coaches and these players will learn to play together in time. I want my christmas present early though......a new starting QB.

Bunch of BS gossip is all this thread is about. We have a complete rebuild to do and it isn't going to be easy. Everyone needs to settle down and quit adding to the negativity.

I got ridiculed for making that same statement. when you think about it however, you have to realize this guy grew up hating Tennessee. I'm sure he hated Rocky Top. He hated the fans. And now all of a sudden he's coaching here. When you consider he did not want to go out and meet fans and do the Caravan and his complete lack of emotion or anger at what's going on with the team ,it does make you wonder

You know what keep making excuses. I don't care what kind of rebuild we have to do this is your two and you don't lose to GEORGIA FRIGGIN STATE!!!! During a rebuild you see Improvement. We look worse than last year.
