Is there something going on internally?

You do understand that we were playing Georgia State? As in went 2-10 last year, didn't have a football program ten years ago, that Georgia State? There is never, ever, ever an excuse for the Tennessee Vols to ever lose to a Sunbelt team, under any circumstance short of an away game and the team plane crashed on the way to the game. We should be able to field nothing but freshmen on both sides of the ball and still win going away.

Just for reference: a guy named Derek Dooley was widely considered when he was fired to be the worst coach this program had ever had in over 100 years, and he still walloped the creampuffs every year. I remember those games distinctly because we all would think we had turned the corner, and then we would get into the SEC schedule and come crashing back to earth.

Well, there you go, already took care of that part this year and didn't even have to wait til the SEC part of the schedule.

Yes let’s keep catering to a group of upperclassmen who are terrible and make excuses for them
I'm really not making an excuse for yesterday. There is literally no way you can convince me a roster full of two star players is more talented than TN, it's complete BS. Idk what is wrong, but I'm willing to bet you see a completely different the come Saturday. Like many have stayed it feels like the coaches thought they could treat this game as a scrimmage and rotate as many players as they could.

If they are indeed that talented as you say then it shouldn’t matter who was coaching them but the fact is they got outplayed once again by inferior talent. I can tell you what is wrong, they don’t seem to care.

Yea that's the upperclassmen IMO

Reportedly, Pruitt and Richt didn't see eye to eye. As I remember, Pruitt promised an indoor practice facility when richt had been unable to get the administration to buy in. He was also reported to feel that richt had lost control and the respect of some players, which was true, but as an assistant, you don't s'posed to bite the hand that feeds ya. His track record is that he's been a good DC. Time will tell if he can do what he needs to do to be a good head coach.
Kind of makes him look like an immature putz, in retrospect. When he wasn't in charge it was easy for him to question, undermine and back-stab the "boss" feeding the narrative of "he's lost control, no one respects him."

Ironically now that the People's Lowbrow is actually in charge of his OWN team, the narrative quickly became "He's lost control of the team, nobody respects him."

It's probably an easy trap for a young hard headed assistant to fall into. Thinking that being the "boss" is easy, when you've never actually been one.

With the statement of"sit the upperclassmen"to play newer players,I agree. My opinion isn't worth much;but, neither are a lot of these upperclassmen Jauan is the glaring exception to this statement.Play Carvin,Jamir, other newer guys with attitude and nastiness.May miss an assignment, but the fever is there to dominate.Others.simply get in the way to block and don't try to bury the guy. But, the question stands when Warrior whiffed at Ga.States AN on his touchdown run.A perfect overrun "ole"move. If the experienced guys aren't getting it done,SIT THEIR AS...S DOWN!
The QB made Warrior look foolish on that play.
