Is there something going on internally?

Honestly, I don't know why everybody thought we would be better this year. Most players take 3 years to develop. They play for 5 and never see the field or even dress out as true freshman. The big lineman take time to build and skilled positions have a lot to gain in strength and learning the schemes. I thought we would be worse this year, but with an easier schedule we would make a bowl. Reasonable expectations are that we win 1 more game every year and steadily get better. I do think JG needs to go. He is just always one yard short and only throws to wide-open receivers. He must do great in practice, but he just doesn't have "it". The ability to see a play and make a play out of nothing is just not his forte!

Rumor is that Pruitt doesn’t really want to be here and may be regretting that he took the job in the first place. Apparently his wife does not like it here and would like their family to go back to Alabama as soon as possible. Pruitt has also rubbed a lot of the assistants and players the wrong way. We started to really see the lack of passion during the Vandy game last year with a bowl on the line. The players didn’t want another month of practices. Then we saw that carry over into the game today. Don’t be surprised if Pruitt doesn’t last past this season. He’s realized that head coaching isn’t for him, and likely would be more than happy to go back to being a DC.
It always the same song and dance, Kiffin etc no one likes it here the wife hates it, the kids are getting bullied blah blah blah.. this sounds so repetitive.. what’s the truth nobody knows..

Great point. That’s what I’m after. What’s really goin on?

The coaches have lost the team!! Blame the players not the coaches. You can take a horse to water but you cannot make it drink! Same with the players, they did not do their job and they were taught plenty!!!

It's a dumpster fire, has been for a while and will continue to be for a while. Dont worry though, we will win one nobody expects and everything will be back to normal...pruitts the savior, off season hype...well you know the yearly routine on vn.

I just hope that one is alabama, since ill be there sporting orange.

Pruitt will knock off Georgia this year. He will have two weeks to prepare for the game.

It's not Big Jim doing the laughing, he is too much of a man for that. It's his son little Jim, the criminal, who is doing the laughing.

Jimmy has no business laughing at UT since the Browns have won nothing of significance during his ownership.

Any data to suggest that your 3 years to develop theory is anywhere close to realistic? I don't believe it.

Pruitt hates 90% of the upperclassmen and they hate him. Fulmer has been strongly encouraging him to not completely give up on them.

If they made me the HC at Bammer, I would intentionally tank the program.
I assume that's what we're witnessing here.
Gotta admire that level of hatred.
You think we have a Manchurian Candidate leading our program? That thought had entered into one intact brain cell of mine

Yep. Everyone is looking for some hidden reason for the result today, but the fact of the matter is that we just have a bunch of players that aren't very good. The youth on the team is much better than the older players but the just aren't ready yet. It's going to be another couple of years before we start to see things improve. Flip the damned roster as quickly as possible.
I would much rather have youth starting and playing with effort and learn on the Job than play older dudes who give No F***s!

Fact is we started down the slop when Cutcliffe left us with PF and his band of hiring screw ups and misfits. We peaked with BJ (sad I know) and a couple of 8/9 win seasons. Fast forward to now and we have PF and his hiring screw ups and misfits. See a pattern? Just because you love something doesn't mean you know the internal parts and how to run it.

Pruitt telling all of the recruits about how they could start from day 1 and probably saying how untalented the upper classmen are ticked off some in the locker room

The losing press conferences last year where he basically said "my players suck" were concerning. You can never get a team to buy in by throwing them under the bus.

Is there something going on internally that we don’t know about? Divided locker room? Toxic work environment? I don’t understand how all our coaches with their combined championship pedigrees and experience didn’t have the team ready against a lack luster opponent. What is going on? Anyone have insider info?

Don't need inside perspective to realize this team lacks what some lesser talented team in past years have had; Alpha types. Six to eight guys on the team who the others follow to rise above adversity. We can argue about how poor and flawed coaches like Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley, Jones and Pruitt might be. But I am certain that there is someone over there common through all these staffs who's influence is disrupting team chemistry. Probably some PC nitwit that just needs to be removed from having access to the team. That is what somebody on the inside with a spoonful of wisdom needs to figure out.

Of course not. the Browns are terrible but that is what narcissists do. He tried to hire anybody but Fulmer for the AD job, so I would bet he is laughing.
