Is this a tweet from one of our players laughing?

The meme was ish and disrespectful to his teammates, coaches and fans. The second he hit send, there’s no way he couldn’t mean anything by it.

If this attitude permeates all the upperclassmen on this team, which it evidently does, then no wonder why the team has no leadership and can “perform” like it did on Saturday.

I agree.

This guy has a “wake up call” in his future.
No telling when or where but it’s coming, and when it does, it will hit him like a ton of bricks...........

You right but im going to be honest if this fan base know half of the crap Jennings gotten away wit..You would kinda see.where im coming from..I know alot what go on I just dont say anything..

I validate your statement by concurring. To be forthright about a subject which is disconcerting, the details of egregious behavior by Mr Jennings would eviscerate a demographic of fans' preconceptions of him; if only they were aware of his sordid actions. Were you privy to the lewd and lascivious shenanigans as I am, you would undoubtedly validate me by concurring as I did you, previously. Although my knowledge of the aforementioned player is immense, my modus operandi is to hold steadfast in keeping it discreet.

Hope this helps, Ob.

I would rather have a dog whining about not liking the leash than a dog that wont hunt when I take it off.

It was. But firing him now? Ridiculous.
BOT, I'm just really hacked off. If I was Phil Fulmer I honestly would not fire him right now at this moment. However, it is my assessment that this Pruitt experiment is doomed. I just can't shake that thought process because to perform like that in our first game of year 2 is irredeemable. I want us to win Saturday, I want us to win every game, but I just don't see it happening. The scene from Titanic comes to mind, where the Irish engineer says "she can stay afloat with water in four compartments, but not five. Not five." I'll be glad if I'm wrong but if what I think is going on is in fact going on (essentially a passive mutiny by a sizeable portion of the team against the staff through apathy), Fulmer's hand will be forced, sooner rather than later.

The fact that Pruitt allows guys with this attitude to stay on the team says more

There's probably not a tremendous choice because of NCAA rules. If you can only pick up a limited number of players each year, you just about have to keep more of the older players around just to fill out the roster. Early signing and more restrictive yearly numbers aren't making things any easier for the newer coaches. In the "good ole days" like when Johnny Majors first went to Pitt, his first recruiting class was around 70 players ... kinda nice having your players from the beginning; Majors didn't do so well at Tennessee at the start - maybe because he had to play a similar numbers game to the one facing Pruitt.

And players like Murphy on our roster isn't the problem

After Fulmer hired this dude would you be comfortable with him hiring the next?

You don't lose the team, or a large majority of it, in Year 2, Game 1 (this actually goes back even to last year) without a massive leadership failure, and leadership starts with the head coach. If tons of players are quitting on this staff this early in his tenure, which is a theory the last 3 games performance definitely supports, that is a symptom of the disease, not it's cause.

A child’s tweet probably trying to laugh off what he just experienced in that loss to GSU and there are 11 pages of grown men whining about it. Tells you all you need to know about volnation.

If you care about the university past, present, and future you are lucky to be representing and cared half as much as the fan base on this forum alone, you don’t post childish stuff like that

What has he done that warrants that hate. He's come publicly and said that he's going to recruit 25 more guys that play the right way...some aren't giving effort.
We tend to coddle our coaches. We give 'em the "Poor Baby" treatment until the day we set them on fire.

Read the Hot seat article on Pruitt. It's an outsiders take that is far more acidic and vitriolic than the worst "nega-vol" amongst us.

634 days and 7 million dollars later, we should hold him to a higher standard than making excuses for the GAST-ly debacle and blaming the players for this mess.

This is absolutely Pruitt's fault, they played like a team that hated their coach on Saturday and this has confirmed that many do. It's his job to inspire and motivate these young men who are here now to play to their maximum potential. He has failed miserably. It's year 2, if anyone is still here they obviously weren't that bad of an egg or considered irredeemable when Pruitt got here, at one point he obviously thought they could help the team and he's completely lost them. That's on Pruitt all day long. That they had this type of attitude in Week 1 of Year 2 is just appalling. Pruitt is no leader, he has sowed this disrespect in complaining about his roster for a year and in the horrible attitude he himself has displayed, on the coaching show and elsewhere. These are Pruitt's chickens coming home to roost with his @$$.
Pretty much this. All day long.
