Saturday sucked, but I'm not ready to crucify a kid for doing something stupid. We've had players do worse and fought for them to stay on the team. He made a bad decision, but in the scheme of things, all it hurt was feelings.

Pruitt has a chance to turn it around against BYU. If we see the same level of suck in that game, then yeah, I'll be ready to say he ain't the one, but I want to see how this team responds. Pruitt and this team are getting raked over the coals, so it's hard for me to believe they aren't feeling embarrassed, and they very much should be, but maybe, just maybe, we as fans need to suck it up and have their backs. I'm not saying don't be pissed off and disappointed, but let's see how this team responds to getting slapped in the face and having their lunch money stolen this Saturday. Are they gonna roll over and die again, or will they pull together and kick some ass? I really hope it's the latter, so for that reason alone, I'm willing to give it a chance before I go nuclear calling for heads.

We just paid $950K to lose to GSU and witness literally the worst loss in UT and maybe conference history and he’s laughing about it. Knickers are twisted and rightfully so.

Move Murphy to the scout team and let him make the decision to transfer. This will free up a scholarship for a player that want to play for the VOLs

You don't lose the team, or a large majority of it, in Year 2, Game 1 (this actually goes back even to last year) without a massive leadership failure, and leadership starts with the head coach. If tons of players are quitting on this staff this early in his tenure, which is a theory the last 3 games performance definitely supports, that is a symptom of the disease, not it's cause.

But the players he brought in were really our only bright spots last year...back to my point that those players were coddled under butch Jones and they don't like the way Pruitt has a no nonsense approach

If he plays him, fine, but he’s not getting another ball. Then he’ll invite anyone else on the team who thinks it’s funny to leave peacefully or be thrown out by Trey Smith and Jauan Jennings.

If he’s JG’s primary option he’s getting the ball, we all know he ain’t going to the 2nd or 3rd...

Read the Hot seat article on Pruitt. It's an outsiders take that is far more acidic and vitriolic than the worst "nega-vol" amongst us.

634 days and 7 million dollars later, we should hold him to a higher standard than making excuses for the GAST-ly debacle and blaming the players for this mess.

Nobody is denying that but when you have plAyers that show this attitude towards your worst loss in history there's a problem and it probably correlates to the efforts on Saturday

We all want to win. I guess I just realize there are far more serious things in life than bitching about a kid saying something stupid. In the realm of screw ups, we've had players do far worse. I agree, he needs to pull his head out of his ass, but too many people are screaming for blood. Put down the pitchforks and torches and let's see what happens against BYU. In a perfect world, he'd be corrected by other players, but if that happens, it'll be behind closed doors.
