Im not sure if it is or not, but with all the talk about how this player is not worthy of the sec, this player is overated, this one is soft, etc...we are still 20-6 at this point. If these players are really as bad as are believed CBP must be doing a heck of a job!!

What percentage of your question should rely on recruiting, and what percentage should rely on free throw shooting and what percentage on court coaching etc.

I think his first year was his best job. Absolutely no expectations, horrible the year before and he gets them to 20 wins. That to me was his best job. The were expected to finish last in the East if I'm not mistaken.

I think BP does a great job every year considering the talent level we have. Yes we have had some good players but not the same as other top tier schools and yet some of our own fanbase here bashes him just because we arent going to final fours or even winning a NC. Ive said on here before, before CBP got here we never had the kinda TV exposure or hype that we have now. TBA was never even half full for mens games and since BP got here we are close to full every game. Our BB programs legacy is not even close to what our football program is so lets not act like BP has something to live upto cause he doesnt. He has changed the way BB is watched, played and followed for UT mens BB!!

Sounds like a great Coach. I can hardly wait for the NCAA Tourney. With that kind of coaching, we should go far.

Man....you have one for CBP.
Although we should wait till the end of the season to see.....I do to this point believe this is his best coaching job to date. This season could have gotten ugly. Now with the moves he has made as of late and Tatum coming back in to contribute this is going to be interesting to see if the chemistry kicks in and they can make some noise in the tourney.

Tatum coming back in to contribute

you are in a world of make believe if you think Tatum is coming back to provide anything other than a warm seat on the bench...he has contributed less than the team manager since he came back and might contribute less moving forward. . his attitude sucks and he couldn't care less

In some games this season I've had the impression that CBP wanted to win more than the players did.

I think the first year was his best job, and it's not even close.

If you consider all the things that have happened this year and all the lineup changes it has required, this is his best coaching job. We had CJ Watson and Lofton that first year. We have no one at the 1 or 2 position on this team as good as those two were.

Why is that?

CJ Watson and Loften were not really even thought of as good players then. He has done a great job every year but with the suspensions of our best players IMO i think that this year is his best coaching job.

1. C.J. Watson was a Bob Cousy award finalist in 2004-05.

2. Chris Lofton was All-Sec Freshman team and averaged 13.5 PPG.

They were pretty dang good.

I disagree. We have more talent now than we did then from top to bottom now. We play 9 people now; we played 7 people then, one of whom was Ryan Childress. We went from a losing record to a 2 seed in the 'AAs, and we swept the national champion.

This year, we've been destroyed by UGA, who will be lucky to make the NIT.
We've been destroyed by USC before any of the suspensions even took place, and Vandy has destroyed us twice. Our lone big time claim is beating Kansas. Other than that, if we have played a team close to the same talent level as us, we have lost.

Therefore, from an objective perspective, the first year was much more impressive than this year, imo.

Are you really saying that all 20 wins were against teams that we were much more talented? His first team over-achieved and had a good season. Our depth this year has consisted of 3 walk-on players, at least two of which have played in most every game.

For the majority of the year, our depth has been a 4 star wing, a 3 star juco, 3 star junior center, and two 2 star walk on shooting guards. The starting lineup consists of a 4 star juco pg, a 5 star shooting guard,a 5 star small foward, a 4 star power forward, and a 4 star center.

As opposed to in his first year depth: a 0 star shooting guard and a 1 star power forward. Not to mention the starting lineup consisted of no one above 3 stars.

So, you tell me which team is more talented.
