Is this Pearl's worst TN team?

Maybe the least talented team, but definately a better TEAM, than last year. Could be Pearl's best coaching year at UT. 17-4 and some of you think we may not make the tourney? Pass the bong, you've smoked enough.

Did you ever stop and consider part of the gameplan last night may have been to leave some in the tank and still come away with the win, being that they're turning around and playing a hot SC team in 45 hours after their longest trip in the SEC all season? Certainly not the best, but not the worst. If you'll recall, two years ago, possibly the best (imho) Pearl team barely beat the Tigers in Baton Rouge 47-45. Keep it in perspective...

The Committee has specifically stated they will not weigh the second half of the season more than the first half this year...

This board isn't for constructive criticism anymore. It's solely for flamers that just want to criticize. As I drop in and kindly explain to some new posters from time to time, if you want recruiting info, this site is the place to be, if you don't want to pay for VQ. Just go straight to the Recruiting Section.

Otherwise, you're better off going to GVX and reading the articles, and avoiding the message board there, as well. If you want to nobly defend your team and your coach, then go right ahead. The only thing choosing this path will lead to is getting pissed every time you try to defend and your energy will be expended for no reason. You will neither affect change in attitudes, nor will you feel better after doing it. You'll just feed the animals at the zoo.

These guys camp out on here, and for whatever reason, just absolutely love flaming the crap out of our coach and players, especially our coach's son. That's what it is and will be b/c they have found strength in numbers and won't back down. So, it's up to you to choose whether you'll rise above, or fall into the logic traps they set.

I'm not easily made upset over the immaturity of adults, when I, a 13 year old child, can sit here and laugh about them acting like more of a child than me. So I think I'll stay.

Not me, I am only a fairweather fan. I mean hell, I have never been running around the house screaming like a madman after a ridiculous kick from James Wilhoit after missing a PAT earlier in the Florida game or a layup from T Smith to win what was quite possibly the biggest regular season game in UT BBall history. Or on the flip side, I have never been sitting around Knoxville absolutely dejected after a loss to UCLA, or drank myself into a stupor when UT was getting trounced by Auburn during the Fulmer years.

I mean, things like that don't happen because I am just not a true Vols fan.

You are kidding, right? I couldn't possibly disagree more.This is CBP's best caoching job IMO. He has found a way to win games with walk-ons and his son playing significant minutes. Any decent coach can wins games with a bunch of talent, but the true measure of a good coach is his ability to win games with lesser talent. Who cares how we win games as long as they get it done. They are 17-4! I can remember before CBP's arrival when fans would have killed for that record, now we complain about it.

last year's team was the worst under Pearl. Not coached well and just pure laziness.

There are times I get frustrated, but at 17-4, there are many teams who would love to be there. North Carolina ring a bell?

Of course, undefeated would be much better, but with all Coach Pearl has had to deal with this year, I am glad he still has his right mind.

Maybe some people need to be rooting for LSU.
