If allah were the almighty he wouldn't relegate Jesus to simply being a prophet (even a lesser prophet than the madman muhammed) now would he deny the existence of a messiah as islam does but the God of the Jews and that of Christians do.

That is a laughable comment to make considering the history of islam.

All islamic scholars agree that the later verses in the qu'ran have more weight that the early verses.

When muhammed had few followers and was weak the early verses reflect a very consiliatory stance but as his numbers and power grew, the verses became increasingly truculent toward all who were no moslems.

I am sorry but this shows that you know very little about Islam or the Quran. I have actually read the Quran 3 times and actually the book is split into two sections; the Medina and Mecca verses. They are both important!!! No one part is "more important" than the other.

The medina texts are longer and at the front. They are the writings of the prophet when he was commissioned by Medina to help them set up a political and social system.

The mecca texts are shorter and to the end. It has less detail and some history.

You know little of what you speak of and your post show the ignorance behind your education on religion.

Jim Jones and David Koresh, just two examples of Christianity being twisted and drawing supporters from weaker minded individuals. Any religion can be perverted.

7th, you know I have mad love and respect for what you're doing. I'm curious, do you have contact with non-combatants and how do they treat you? Are they friendly or hostile? Do they show respect? Just honestly wondering what they are like and how they treat American soldiers.

You would be nice to if you were talking to someone with an gun in there hand.

So you don't believe they're sincere? FTR, I'm not against you or criticizing you. I have nothing but respect for you. You and the rest of our boys are in my prayers. I was just curious about civilian behavior and how they feel about the American troops.

You can't tell the bad guys from the good. Everybody greets you with a smile, for the most part. Many of these people don't know what's best for them as they're not educated enough and know nothing else of the world than what's outside of their mud hut.

What is your point? That a Christian nation has targeted Muslims for intervention for the last 6 decades?

Where in this thread or any thread have I ever mentioned anything about christianity?

If you think the blood we spill is in the name of christianity then you should rethink your position on this whole affair.

fyp to remind you how the vast majority of Muslims feel about extremist groups acting in the name of their religion.

I'm only concerned with the ones who do. I could careless what a muslim living in France or where ever else in the world feels. We're not fighting them.

I don't think we bother with Afghanistan if there isn't a difference in religion. It's not in the name of Christianity, but we have fooled ourselves into thinking it's good vs evil, and right vs wrong.

Or...we're here because the country was a training ground for terrorists and they killed 3000+ americans on our own soil...maybe.

Albeit not a very well planned mission from the start as far as going into afghan.

Yeah....they train in order to retaliate against our interventions through the years. See how this cycle works?

This is insane. Afghanistan was harboring bin Laden and al Qaeda cells. These are the people responsible for 9/11. You believe he should have gotten away scott free?

The sad thing is, WE(the U.S.) put OBL in the position he was in. We gave him arms and training to combat the Russians. He, like Saddam Hussein, came back to bite us in the ass. It seems our recent targets have been ones of our own making. We need to overhaul foreign policy. Weird how these people have benefitted from our "intervention". They have a strange way of showing appreciation.

Then you disagree with all prominent islamic scholars that when two verses don't agree then the latter verse takes precidence because all had revealed more to muhammed?

You ignorance betrays you also!

I am a scholar on Islam. (You do not say Islamic Scholar as it changes the meaning of the terms)

And you are wrong. If you looked at Islam historically, actually real history, you would see your fault; but you prove an ideologue forcing himself to see reason. I suggest you stop reading your "scholars" and read the Quran.

By the way, no "scholars" would disagree with what I wrote about the Mecca and Medina Suras, it is common knowledge... should have been common for you as well, but...
