Then they should have left to their home countries when territory was lost.
if we ever lost Chattanooga to Mexico you would find me in Kentucky. Not sitting here 2 generation's later in a tent

What if palestinians came and kicked you out of the nooga? You would really not put up a fight. I mean they would take all of your possesions and leave you pretty much pennyless.

It was a war. All of that was lost by no fault of theirs. If it happened to me here would I seek a better live in the part of my country that survived?
He11 yes I would leave. Those who stayed behind deserve what they get.

Maybe they simply can't afford to pack up and go?

So you would just simply pack up and leave the land which your family has owned for generations, the country where your from, where your friends and family all live without question?

In this situation the refugees are from the aggressors. Israel kept the territory they did to prevent future attacks.
maybe the refugees should be angry with the government who started the war

Did you really just quote my answer then ask the question?

I'm just trying to make sure I read that correct. I've just never heard alot of people admit to just giving up and letting someone take all their stuff, pride, and honor away from them.

They lost a war. It's up to each person to decide their own way. I would rather feed my family by trying to find a better place than continue in a fight I can't win.
i guess that makes me a Hatfield.

They actually let the jews in and somewhat welcomed them with open arms. In a lot of cases they allowed the jews from the holocaust to move into their muslim homes, yet one day returned from work and found the locks had been changed and the jews wouldn't let them back into their own houses. That's a little more than just a war..... It was total douchebaggery on the Isralies side.

I have and I do. This thing is far from one sided.
when was the last time you saw a Jew blow themselves up in a market place full of women and children?

While I disagree with suicide bombings, what other way do Palestinians have to fight the government? Israel has an army. They control the government. They are not interested in what is fair and judicious to the Palestinian people.

After WWII, the UN felt the need to step in and define the formation of Israel. The Jews and the Palestinians were supposed to live peacefully together. Israel did not live up to that bargain. Yes, Egypt and Syria went to war with them, but how does that change the rights of the Palestinians in Israel? The truth is, the Jewish people as a whole won't be satisfied until they have driven all the Palestians out of Israel.

I read an article once where a Palestinian family went to visit relatives living in a nearby village. When they returned a week later, the found a Jewish family living in their house. They went to the local authorities but they refused to do anything about it. Palestinians in Israel are victims of state supported bigotry.

I'm not saying all Jews are bad, but Israel is a corrupted government trying to force people from a land they inhabited for centuries. Their actions go against the UN treaty they agreed to, yet no one will step up to hold them responsible. I don't know if it's because they are "God's chosen people" or holocaust guilt or some other thing, but they are not being held accountable for their actions.

Many make Israel out to be the victim, but the truth is they share responsibility. While the suicide bombings and terrorist actions of the Palestinians are deplorable, so are the actions of Israel's government. Israel's military has killed many innocents as well, but somehow, that tends to miss the media newsplay.

In any event, Israel is a big boy now. They don't need us to ride to their rescue, especially when they pick the fight. It's time for the U.S. to backoff and let them walk on their own.

1)all governments are corrupt.
ask the Cherokee how they feel and if they want their land back.

2)it's hard for alot of people to choose the refugees over Israel. I still have that image of the refugees dancing in the streets while the towers fell on 9/11. I've also been there. The Jews love Americans. The refugees either put up with or hate us.

3)i ageee we should allow Israel to stand on here own. The problem is they would wipe out all their enemies. We're the only reason they haven't smacked Iran and started ww3.

Alot of them still live in dessert camps. 2 generations have been displaced. Furthermore, the road map to peace called for no new jewish settlements. It's not very diplomatic, and it will cause a lot harm to an already fragile relationship.

The roadmap to peace called for the end of rocket attacks on kindergartens etc.

The Arabs have taken 77% of the land of the original mandate, they expelled the ones living in refugee camps.

If the surrounding Arab countries care so much about their fellow Arabs, why don't they make a home for them in those countries.

Judea and Samaria are part of the Israeli state, they have the right to build all the settlements they want.

It is silly to believe neither side is to blame and to choose a side as righteous is even more laughable.

To say that the side that demands the complete annihilation of the other isn't somewhat more at fault for the ongoing conflict than the other is even more laughable and silly. :salute:

Do you know anything about Jewish just war theory?

Jews are permitted to engage in any wars for the Holy Land, regardless of Sanhedrin permission.

With Sanhedrin permission, Jews are not only permitted but, if they have the power, are obligated to fight and destroy disbelievers and idol worshipers.

Once the Temple is rebuilt, the Jews can bring back the Sanhedrin.

Isreal is neither a good ally nor a bad ally. They're a good customer. Period. All that noise about 'the region's only democracy' and 'bulwark against terrorism' is just window dressing because we can't just say we like them best because they buy the most stuff from us. If Ayatollah Big Chief came out tomorrow and announced a 10 year/10 trillion dollar contract with Northrop Grumman, UN inspectors would be out of Iran so fast there'd just be cartoon outlines where their bodies used to be and the US would put Isreal in a choke hold to keep them from screwing the deal.

Is there a temple under construction somewhere that I'm not aware of?

Reconstructing the Temple is the entire goal of the Zionist movement. The Jews cannot achieve salvation unless the Temple is rebuilt (as it is prophesies of the Messiah contain references to the Temple being there).

I understand that. Even alot of Christians believe there will be a temple during the tribulation. Since I was a kid people have been saying the temple is about to be built. The net result is I quit paying attention to it.
I'm normaly sarcastic so I understand the confusion but my question was a serious one. Has there been recent progress on a new temple?
