Absolutely. Hamas ordered a war off of the menu. They don’t get to send it back to the kitchen if it is spicier than they wished.
Basic rule of life: don’t start a war unless you are willing to accept that the other side gets to hit back at you.
Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time

Israel (not "the Jews," Israel) may well end up killing 100K civilians but at least they're not terrorists, amirite?

You are literally justifying blowback against the US from Palestinians with this right here.

And you think Hamas "started it" a year ago. Hamas didn't exist at the start of it.

There was a cease fire on 6 October 2023. one side decided to break the cease fire and to do it by committing war crimes in wanton murder of civilians . Period. Full stop.
I don’t care when you think the whole thing „started“ or even who you think „started“ it. The incontrovertible fact that cannot be denied is that the current peace, imperfect as it was, was deliberately broken by one side and one side only.
And that side now gets to experience the full, grinding, and horrific consequences of their criminal and unjustified attack.
They wanted war, they started the current round of violence. And now they have exactly what they asked for.
And they could end it tomorrow (and could have ended it at any time), release the hostages and lay down their arms.
Until then……war is hell. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes

I keep trying to think of a modern war that did not have catastrophic consequences on civilian populations, but I can’t. European and Asian populations in WWII, Koreans and Vietnamese in the 50s and 60s. The ME wars.

Civilians always pay a heavy price in war. It is part of what makes war so terrible.

I wish the killing in Gaza/Palestine/Israel would stop. I also don’t view the collateral damage in Gaza, as terrible as it is, as worse than what the Allies inflicted on the Axis powers’ populations while winning WWII. So no, I do not believe Israel are terrorists here.

Not only that, unlike every other modern war you mentioned; besides being expected to limit civilian collateral deaths to basically zero (in a conflict in which the aggressor deliberately blends into civilian areas); Israel is the only nation in history that is expected to feed, clothe, and provide power and water to their enemy.
Can you imagine Churchill sending oil tankers to Germany in 1941 during the blitz to help heat German homes and keep German factories (producing weapons to attack Britain) fully operational?
Absolutely ridiculous and mad. But there are people in our world today (including some on VN) who fully agree with such ludicrous fantasy.
They would feel totally different I think if their teenage children had been butchered at a music festival and their grandchildren were being held hostage for over a year.
But the human brain is unsurpassed in its ability to delude itself all in the name of self righteous virtue signaling.

This is good stuff. JBP and the guy who made Chosen. He has been to Israel with Messianic Jew Rabbi Jason Sobel who helped make the films too, they are friends. Great listening here. JBP is simply brilliant and meek. A great mentor to millions of young men (and older ones like me). I really enjoyed the "Chosen" stuff too. Powerful iconography.

Its unreal. Its like backing an "army" of child molesters. Backing an "army" of terrorists. That rape and mutilate little girls and old ladies (and the women in between too). Its disgusting. Theres no excuse for it. None. If my own brother, or son, or Pastor, or literally ANYONE does these horrible things then they are garbage and I wouldn't come here or anywhere else and attempt to defend them for acts that are indefensible and evil. Period. End of story.

I use "army" because they are immoral cowards when they prey on women and children. When they strap bombs to them and blow up innocents. When they refuse to wear UNIFORMS and identify themselves as combatants in the WAR that they have refused to end for centuries. They disguise themselves as civilians so they can ambush...and so when they die they THINK they can count all the deaths as innocent civilians. They can't. Most people who know anything about the situation know thats complete BS and therefore ANY bodycounts are 100% fiction and have no value. Hamas CHOOSES to do these things. All of them. They chose this war. After being offered an extremely generous 2 state solution for decades. Which they refused of course forever...because what they really want is the same thing theyve wanted for over 1000 years. They want to kill all the Jews and take Jerusalem. To eradicate Israel completely. Always have. "From the river to the sea". Nothing but Muslims. No "infidels". Thats what they want

They finally got it. Now it's whining and tears from a bunch of idiots here in the US that are sympathetic for some insane reason with the terrorists. The terrorists got exactly what they wanted. Its just not gonna turn out the way they thought it was. Slice is 100% correct. Let Israel and Hamas handle their war. The winner can pay to rebuild in the rubble. Not the US. I bet theres gonna be some nice beachfront hotels on the Jewish Riviera. It won't bring back all the dead that the terrorists have killed over the years. It wont free the hostages. Hopefully it can put an end to this conflict though finally. Hopefully Israel will only be surrounded on 3 out of the 4 cardinal directions by muslims that want them dead. They should have ocean to the west soon, and be able to patrol that with naval and air power. Best possible outcome.

Classically, the difference between a tyrant and a just king is that the just king keeps his own laws. While I would acknowledge that God could do whatever he wants and say that's the law, I dont think he would hold himself to a different standard than his creations -- because he's just.

I guess my model for soul is something like the "personality ball" from westworld that gets inserted into the chassis/body at some point during its life -- that's pure speculation, though.
