You said Hamas can't do what it does without support of the people. My point is that it certainly can. Where did overwhelming come from?

Nobody that cry’s in this thread about the death tolls will tell you how Israel should proceed differently or even acknowledge that Hamas is to blame (in part or in total) for the loss of life. They think Israel should bend over and take it. **** that. 1200 dead on 10/07 means you get what you get.

It’s no surprise that the cowards who attacked raped and murdered on 10/07 have no concern for their people they hide behind.

And I don’t disagree. The Middle East as a whole would be far better off if hamas (really IRGC and all its proxies) was destroyed. Anyone that uses innocent women and children as shields is scum, anyone that aids terrorism in anyway is in the wrong. I just simply think it’s a minority (im sure it’s still a large chunk) and that gazans are victims of a brutal oppressive regime

It’s like this all over the west. They stay silent while Arabs live under oppressive regimes that beat and kill their own people, then rally against Israel and call Hamas freedom fighters. I could not imagine being from one of those countries and escaping and then seeing people on social media celebrate them. It’s disgusting

Maybe you're right. But it is still true that the folks in Gaza elected Hamas. And Hamas is only doing that which they promised they would do. And the Gazans had decades worth of Muslim Brotherhood history as a guide to predict how things would turn out once Hamas was in charge. And lest we excuse the other Palestinians, most polls show that if elections were to be held in the West Bank, Hamas would win at least a comfortable plurality, if not a majority, of the vote.

So, Hamas strangled the two young children and gave Israel the body of a dead Palestinian woman. I would bet the cease fire may very well be off very soon. I would have been much more cruel to Hamas than Bibi has been, but that's just me.

That's the family that was held by Gaza civilians and then they didn't give the mothers body back correct...atp I say bomb the whole place..

Why don't the civilians fight back???? That's the best way to get the west on your side. not to continue with the status quo of said repressive regime

Yes that is correct but it’s more complicated than that. Hamas wasn’t supposed to have full control. A civil war broke out after and they started murdering the opposition and everytime an election had been scheduled since it gets canceled. That’s also assuming they were fairly elected (hard to believe with the IRGC influence)

Polls are never trustworthy especially for something like that. Too bad we’ll never find out because as long as Hamas is in charge there will never be another election there

Sure, but I would do even more than that. The only things the animals that have done this will respect is fear for their lives and in particular, fear for the lives for their families.

All true. But the idea that Hamas would not take full control after winning the vast majority of the legislature is to ignore the entire history of the Brotherhood.

Hamas is hunted by a bloodthirsty IDF that eats Palestinian children by the bushel for breakfast. Of course Hamas couldn’t sustain its position without the aid and comfort of a sizable portion of the population.

The fact remains that they had 15 years to grow and prove they could be self sufficient and join modern society. Instead they made their situation worse, became more dependent and attacked those they depend on for basic needs like power and water.
