Maybe maybe not. It’s really subjective. My personal opinion the majority would much rather live in peace. There’s obviously a large portion that do want Jews dead and Israel to be destroyed however I don’t think that’s the majorityThey had 15 years and said almost nothing.
They had months after 10/7 before the bombs and said almost nothing. Because they overwhelmingly support the destruction of Israel by whoever they think can get it done
I’m not talking about polling.Lol so you’re talking about the polling?!
Yes, the polling consistently shows that Hamas enjoys 60-80% support from the Gazan public.
That != “1 million Gazans kidnapping and killing Jews”
If I read correctly, the Gaza civilians were the ones who held the mother and her two children hostage. They've done nothing to oppose these animals for 2 decades.
highly doubtful, when you’re controlled by the most powerful org in the ME (maybe 2nd behind Israel) it’s easy to have power. Unless you’re talking about a violent uprising and actually overthrowing them then yes I’d agree
There have numerous over the years for living conditions, Hamas taking funding, ect. There’s been a few small ones against them during this conflict now. But they get shutdown very quickly, nor do they even get posted by the western world
There’s been an estimated 40+ thousands civilians die, and 80+ % of buildings and homes destroyed. But yes I’m sure Israel can’t destroy them because the majority of Gazans are terrorists
100% agreed. The anti-Israel crowd that supports Hamas(or any IRGC proxy) and calls them “freedom fighters” is doing far more harm than good for the Palestinian people. For many their hate for Israel goes beyond their “support” for Palestine. When innocent women and children in the ME are killed by anyone other Israelis the west is silentNow we are talking! This is what I was asking for Smokey! (Admittedly, I have no idea what it says, I assume it is anti-conflict.)
(For the life of me I can not figure out why some keyboard warriors here take everything as a challenge, rather than an opportunity to engage in something productive, so I appreciate your response. As you stated, such posts are quickly shutdown, or never are posted, so thank you.)
As to your post, I think that your assessment of the situation is correct. I am certain there are some Gazans who abhor the violence against the Israelis, just as there are Israelis who have been vocal about disagreeing with current Israeli policy in Gaza.
The difference between the two groups of dissidents is this: The Gazans, in Gaza, who are identified as being unsupportive of conflict with the Israelis are quickly silenced, presumably by their own governing authority (Hamas). Those Israelis/Jews who speak out against Israel are given a microphone on the world stage.
The fact that so many in the anti-Israel crowd refuse to publicly recognize the continued oppression by Palestinians (Hamas) against Palestinians (anti-conflict Gazans) is remarkable to me.
There’s numerous people putting out numbers and theyre estimates we likely won’t know anything for months or years. There was a recent study that concluded palestinians MoH numbers are underestimated and it’s up to 78k but more than likely around 64k, if you take that number and subtract Israel saying 20k Hamas members have been killed it’s around the 40k range. This is Hamas' number of total Gazan casualties during the war. Are you suggesting that Israel hasn't managed to kill a single Hamas combatant during the entire conflict?
