Israel vs Palestinians

I know people might freak out about this, but Al Jazeera is a pretty reliable news source. Is it biased? Who isn't?

AJ is trying to win international hearts and minds through good journalism. When we're talking reported facts, I don't see them as any less reliable than [insert major American media outlet] who is trying to get partisan eyeballs.
Ahh yes the Qatari propaganda machine. Qatar has given nearly $2b to Hamas, Im
Sure there’s no conflict in reporting there.
Even Fatah banned AJ in the West Bank

He was saying the same thing during the campaign. Where’s the beef?

Put up or shut up, Donald.
If he could make a difference getting the American hostages released it would be a win. I'd love to end up eating crow, but he can't. He needs to shut the hell up.

Like @DinkinFlicka said, my first impression is he's trying to justify more foreign aid to Israel.

After all the gypsy accounting he's done calculating the total cost of our support to Ukraine, he's gonna get lambasted if he gives Israel more aid.

Just let them fight. We don't need to keep paying for it.

I care about the American Hostages. Beyond that, let them fight.

He’s been saying “there will be hell to pay” if they’re not released. We’ve seen nada.

It's not that i don't care, but I'm ambivalent on that one. It's my understanding that the American hostages have dual citizenship while living as Israeli citizens. If I have that wrong, I'm open for correction.

I've shared in other threads my dislike of dual citizenship. It wouldn't bother me if US policy was "Your well being is not our responsibility while abroad under another state's citizenship". No, I haven't worked out all the contingencies for circumstances like an international flight getting hijacked...........

A US citizen should enjoy all the protections for being a US citizen. Period. This qualifying game of type of citizen is dangerous and stupid.

It is dangerous and stupid. I don't think it's a game, but rather a problem of our own making. That's why I don't advocate a US citizen having multiple passports to qualify their citizenship internationally.

How so?

Plus what benefit is it to the country to allow dual citizenship? We're one of the few that allows it.
Because citizens are not in a marriage with the country. If that was the case we’re all a bunch of cucks

Who cares if we’re one of the few that allows it? The US is one of the only countries to protect the right to bear arms. But your statement is false anyways, half world allows dual citizenship

The US does plenty of things that aren’t to its advantage. What disadvantage is it? And back to my original question; why should the US force someone to forfeit citizenship?

We shouldn't force anyone to forfeit their citizenship, we just shouldn't allow them to have US citizenship if they hold citizenship in another country.

That’s exactly what it’s doing. For example, there’s plenty of Jews that are born and raised in America and use the right to return to get citizenship. Taking away their US citizenship in that scenario is unconstitutional

I don't believe that it would be unconstitutional and could be done with simple legislation. But regardless of race, religion, creed or anything else any US citizen who takes citizenship in another country should lose their US citizenship. Anyone applying for US citizenship should have to give up their previous citizenship.
