Israel vs Palestinians

IDK about any of this ^ but I look at this guy quite a bit differently than y'all, and I don't understand the mockery.

I am appalled that I am complicit in what's happening to Palestine. Not only does my government represent me, but I'm also paying for the mass killing of innocents. What do I do? I just keep paying my taxes like a fkn coward. This dude did something about it. I wouldn't ever do what he did, but I don't think he's crazy or stupid. He's a person who put more value on a message than his own life.

He died for a cause he believed in, and people here think that's reason that he shouldn't have passed mental health screening for the military. Seems like that's where willingness to die for a cause should be the #1 requirement. Messages like "give me liberty or give me death" are only cool if you don't really mean it, I suppose.
Well to be fair to this guy. I was poking more fun at you asking what the diagnosis was than him offing himself. I agree with General Patton I don't think it's a badge of honor to die for your country or someone else's I think they should die for their own country.
You're no more complicit than the rest of us.

How TF are you complicit for an air campaign in Gaza?

I think you should stop paying your taxes in protest.

This dude wasn’t defending his home, the liberty of his family. He was making a political statement. F-

The moron didn’t die for a cause.

wanting to kill yourself or others is the basic working definition of “unstable”. But if you want actual diagnoses suicidal ideation a R45.851 and F32.A

I’m going to guess that he didn’t intend on dying from his stunt. He probably thought someone would put out the flames before it got critical.

Idk. I’d much rather die than live after something like that

But even if he’s not suicidal, doing something like that for attention would make me start considering a personality disorder like histrionic

This guy died for a conflict going on for either decades or millennia depending on your perspective. His death will accomplish nothing. The conflict is much stronger than another suicide. In fact, suicide is an acceptable way of fighting in some of the cultures involved in this never ending fight.
I wish he would have given his life for a cause with better odds his act could have helped.

If you envy him so much, join him.

And such a small conflict compared to the many other injustices that happen in this world. Most are ignored. Maybe he could have brought attention to one of those and the much larger loss of life involved in them.

I joined only 10 years later, and you’d be kicked out almost 100% of the time for a DUI. Amazing how quick things change
The DUI stuff started getting serious around 2004/2005. They finally put closing hours on our class six which was open 24/7 365.
