No doubt. Solutions have to make sense. But people in highly emotional states are not receptive. You're married, you understand perfectly when you and your wife are in the middle of a "heated fellowship" no one is listening or processing reason and logic.
Right, but if your wife lives over there and you live in both places and then you say, "living there has been terrible. I get nothing out of it except for problems, I'm gonna stop living there and if you come here and cause problems, I'm gonna kill you." You don't really need her to agree with the solution. You just need her to fear the consequences.
IDK why we need Palestine to agree to a 2-state solution. Israel can do it without their consent. If there are still problems after the fact, wtf is the difference? I actually think it frees up Israel to wage war with more western consent if they are not occupiers. I would certainly view it differently. I don't buy the strategic arguments for Israel maintaining control. Holding Palestine does not seem to be in their best interest.
