You lost me at civilian shipping. This was in Syria and not Yemen. Do we know what the bombed were planning in Damascus?
Not that it matters for this discussion but I doubt we fly our terrorist / freedom fighter allies to the US for consultations. You're right though that such meetings would be held away from our diplomatic facilities.

I wonder what we would think if a foreign leader came to our capital and met with opposition leaders in their foreign embassy and had spoken about opposing a former leader from being elected?

Israel has committed lots of war crimes in Gaza. It's shocking that the U.S. continues to supply military aid to that country,
even as Biden and many others in his administration are fed up with the racist, corrupt Netanyahu.

And not at the embassy in Budapest, but Samantha Power was meeting with opposition groups in Budapest before going to the embassy to talk to the American staff and Ukrainian operatives. Subversive and provocative...

Syria and Lebanon are the hubs for Iranian terror. It's where they have built up their clandestine and open terrorist networks operate to keep them at arms length away from Iran and spilling over into uncontrollable problems at home. Yemen takes it's queues from Iran......... the proxies work in coordination with each other.

They don't fly their terrorists or allies to Iran either. They stupidly used an embassy in a proxy country to meet with it's sponsored terrorists reps because they thought it would be off limits..... But top level military brass makes it an inviting and legitimate target......... Though it does make retaliation likely...... But then again Iran want going to call off their dogs anyway but they could step up attacks

The investigation by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), summarized in a report seen by Reuters, said its personnel did not record any exchange of fire across the border between Israel and Lebanon for more than 40 minutes before the Israeli Merkava tank opened fire.

BTW, it was a Reuters journalist who was killed.

Shouldn’t Hamas update the made up 30k number eventually. It has been stuck there for months so I guess IDF has killed zero people since January 😉
And if the most advanced military in the region that possesses absolute air superiority and nuclear weapons REALLY wanted to commit genocide, only 30k casualties in six months is what inwould call pretty incompetent.
Now shall we discuss „cognitive dissonance“ further? It seems like you are intimately familiar with the concept after all 😂

There are going to be some real ones that are killed as well. its war.

you shouldn't pretend like everyone that Israel kills is actually a threat or actually aiding Hamas; just like they shouldn't pretend everyone claiming to be a medic/aide worker/journalist is actually one.

Embassies aren't legitimate targets, legitimate as in legal. Retaliation would be as likely regardless of the attack location.
