It doesn’t work… it never has…

CJH offenses average 44 pts a game against the lesser SEC teams and OOC opponents.

CJH offenses average 23 pts a game against 9 win SEC teams. (Keep in mind that incudes 52(bama), 45 (Kentucky) and 40(LsU) so without those 3 that’s awful.

So let’s face reality. No QB named Nico is going to make this offensive scheme better. Heck we played one good defense a year ago and were embarrassed with a a very good QB in hooker.

We have a coach that puts up big numbers against bad teams and gets his fat ass whipped against good ones. Always has and always will!

No coach can stay at UT long term if there is a program he cannot beat. Heupel has yet to come close to beating a Kirby led UGA team. The clock is ticking on him getting it done. He took a superior UT team on both sides of the ball to UGA and lost due to coachng IMO.

For example you can score 20 TDs and be 1st
Next season you score 22 but you’re 3rd.

What was your best season?

The bottom line is your post made no sense. The timeline of Bruin's post and your Hooker comment made no sense unless you expected someone reading your post to understand you had changed the timeline.
It made no sense to you! Because it was over your head!
I’m sorry I didn’t simplify it down for you Mr Pro!!

By the way, how do you get to be a Pro?

You take stuff so literal when someone says "Pro Tip". To satisfy your thirst I always know what I'm talking about so I nominate myself as a Pro per my expert opinion of myself.

Get your timeliness right.

They were right, just beyond your comprehension

I think it’s obvious what’s holding the offense back - the oline and a young QB. Now, it is fair to say the head coach is responsible for both of those things . . . But I don’t think it’s scheme.

Our oline is not good. Period. The run blocking is ok . . . The pass blocking is not.

Also, I do think the offense loses its advantage when it cannot go fast.

I am afraid the Oline will be no better next year.

I like CJH but I also dislike having a coach married to playing a certain scheme over just winning games like Saban . If TN could get Curt Cignetti I would do it . If not CJH is a good enough coach and can win it all if he gets all the right players.
Ah, the flavor of the month club

@Freak please just lock down the entire forum. The stupidity tonight is just mind boggling.
Don’t censor OP. I thought by now we’d learned. Free speech can be beautiful and can be ugly. But we must allow free speech.

Be the bigger man and fight back with logic snd readon.

It's amazing how many UT fans want to go through another coaching change and rebuild.

I'll take an 8-4 season over going thru that BS again
Would you be happy with 8-4 and an occasional 10-2 season but not win championships?

I wouldn’t.

we need to ride with CJH a few more years. Why? I trust ADDW and believe he’ll ensure CJH has the resources to get it done and keep UT at the top.

I still want to see improvement in recruiting and more creative play calling. I want to see UT return to faster pace. In my opinion CJH still needs to prove himself and deliver with more consistency but ADDW has nothing to prove (in my opinion).

I watched the Ole Miss/Georgia game and the Tenn/Georgia game. Tell me which team had the better offensive scheme. Ole Miss or Tenn. Also tell me which team had the better defensive scheme. Ole Miss or Tenn. Not trying to be delusional just realistic.
Ole Miss has the better/ more seasoned QB in their respective schemes right now. Plus I think Heupel has been trying to discretely protect the investment this year in light of his development/ struggles and the disappointing performance of our tackles this year. Of course the OM scheme has been more effective. Better O line and their version of Hendon Hooker behind center. They have talent and experience, right now we just have talent and we need more of both!

Majors couldn’t beat Alabama. Fulmer couldn’t beat Florida.

Both stayed in the job 16 years.

We won’t even be playing Georgia annually anymore starting in 2026.

Ole Miss runs 90% of the same stuff we do

Kiffin got his current system from Jeff Lebby…who got it from Heupel

I think the NFL draft is going to strongly disagree with you on UT being the superior team.

What leads you to think 23 points per game against "9 win SEC teams" is poor? How does it compare to other coaches/teams? What you posted doesn't tell us much

I am as critical as the next guy when it comes to our our habitual 1-2 sleepwalk losses a year, squandering opportunities, and not getting over the hump against UGA . . . but this sounds like a Russian bot to me. Heidelberg needs to make some improvements, but we are in a decent spot as long as we continue an upward trajectory,

That's about as negative as you can get. The way I see it is that he is beating the teams he is suppose to beat. That's the mark of a good coach. He is also beating teams that he is NOT suppose to beat. That's also a mark of a good coach. Our talent level over the last few years has been vastly upgraded and is still improving. That's a mark of a good coach. Our yearly win totals are also on the rise. That's a mark of a good coach. The number of NFL prospects out of Tennessee is sky rocketing. That's a mark of a good coach.

Do I need to continue? How about you go back and analyze the previous 10 years before Heupel got here. Then compare the numbers. Ask yourself one question. Are we better off now?
