theirs a chance he will? awesome I mean I like what Worley is doing and all but i lioved Brays swagger and the tattoos were well known. would he have to return the money hes maid so far or just not take anymore?

Bray is a solid QB with zero discipline. When Kiffin left and his family was already here he requested out. In walks Dooley with talk and another con for him.

I can't stand Dooley because he was a mini Saban without the skill to coach. When Bray laid down on the team and fans @ Ky fan I he showed his true self. He did it against Vanderbilt also. Dooley should have benched him but Dooley knew our only chance to win any games was with Bray in the lineup. Catch 22.

I feel confident that Bray does not regret his decision to go pro. Bray trying to even fake a read option would have been a train-wreck. Hunter, CP, and Rogers made plays to make his numbers look a lot better than they probably should have.
I know we're happy that we won a big SEC game, but I really don't think this year would have done enough for his numbers to land him in a better pro situation.

Why would he be mad? He is on an NFL roster. He got what he wanted and got out, though just barely.

Just wanted to say imo think we would be 6-1 if tyler bray would have stayed. He didnt know about pig, north, croom, lane, neal, smith, and our bad azz defense. PLUS HE MIGHT HAVE GOT DRAFTED HIGHER

Not a chance. Think about it. Just before the Oregan game, we would have lost our starting QB due to the $ report. Worley's development would have been set back at least a month. Tyler's attitude wouldn't have mattered at all because he would be sitting on Mo's Couch!

Honestly, does anyone care if he's mad or not?

Yes, people do for some reason.

Screams of "my ex girlfriend left me and I'm still butt hurt even though I liked her when she was my girlfriend but I will claim I always hated her".

Same reason why some people claim Arian Foster fumbled more than anyone else in UT history even though he fumbled only 5 times on a school record of 650 carries.

Same reason why people are celebrating Kiffin getting fired and take an interest in his career.

People can't let go.

I think a lot of Bray's attitude had to do with Dooley's demeanour because he wasn't the only one on the team with a bad attitude. Dooley was just a flat out pessimest most of the time. I mean really who tells your kicker "don't screw this up." A lot of those same guys that probably laid down and had a bad attitude last year are the same guys on the team this year that have done a complete 180 and played their hearts out.

It's amazing how much a coach's attitude can affect the team. If Bray still had the same attitude as last year with this years team he would take a lot of crap from the team and everyone around knoxville which I don't think he would be willing to do. But as mentioned, he probably wouldn't be playing anyway because of the cash, so it doesn't really matter for the most part.

He's got possibly the best arm that UT has ever seen, but nothing between the ears. He wouldn't be able to play in a system like coach CBJ's. The team is playing like a team now, and I think that's in part to having leadership in the locker room which wasn't here last year. Tyler was most likely a cancer to the team similar to Da'Rick. I think he threw the Kentucky game 2 years ago and the Vandy game last year just to ensure Dooley's firing. Finding out that he took money was the last straw for me. There aren't many former players that I have 0 respect for, but he is certainly one of them.

OH, so that's why you berate Bray so hard, you think he was responsible for getting your favorite coach fired.

Most of us think Dooley was lost after the KY loss his 2nd year and most of his staff left. The staff and the players knew he was incompetent. Bray may have been a lights out QB under a solid Head Coach that the team loved and whose program, they bought into.

At this point we will never know. You and I both have one thing in common, neither one of us REALLY KNOWS what we are talking about, we just have opinions. My opinion is: "I like mine best."

Yeah. He probably should have said:

Bray is selfish thug with great talent.

Worley is a unassuming team player with good talent.

Advantage Worley.

A thug, really? Lol You should probably stay in your gated community if you think he was a thug, the real world might scare you.

I disagree. Don't get me wrong Tyler was a diva but I attribute that to the Dooley trainwreck. You can't tell me with his physical skillset he wouldn't have had a much more successful college career with proper coaching.

I personally think Bray playing under CBJ would have been huge for the kid. Yeah he had a bad attitude, and Worley has come on strong lately, but Bray was the best QB Tennessee has had since the Iceman.

And if you think Bray threw the games against Kentucky and Vandy, just know that you sound like a Bammerneck from 2003 with your conspiracy theories

Bray so much as admitted it @ Ky and the Seniors exposed it. That is what all the ruckus was about after the KY game no bowl game and another losing record.

Brays attitude was all about what he wanted. Dooley could not handle him.

I think there is something to be said about that. There is that saying that players will take on the personality of their coach.

Who knows how Bray would have turned out under a different coach. He had a ton of potential and under appropriate guidance, he could have been amazing. He had all of the physical tools to get it done but unfortunately from the outside looking in, it seems he did not get the type of leadership and guidance he needed to reach his potential. His issues were off the field, not necessarily on.

Someone should have had Inky with him every day as a life coach lol.

One of the more intelligent responses to the OP's question. At the end of the day, I think both would have been more successful if he stayed. Note I said more successful, not better off. I think the poster who said our struggles with him not being here will only make us stronger & improve us in the long run has a great point.

-Honestly, I thought Hunter & CP were still too raw, & needed to develop football skills like route running & catching (drops), & should have stayed. But, they were taken off pure talent & potential, & are proving me wrong now that they are getting NFL coaching.
-Bray was undrafted, & not sure if he is still even with the Chiefs. He clearly made a mistake & got bad advice regarding whether to leave or not. He may end up making it, but right now, he ain't rich or even 2nd string. Yet here, he would (*if he bought in) be excelling I think. Thus, we would have a better record. & I think he would have had the type of year that would really have catapulted his draft stock. If he bought in to the Team 117 mentality.

I'm glad he's gone because it's moving us into the future. He may be better than what we have now but I still don't think we would have won more games with him.
