He's got possibly the best arm that UT has ever seen, but nothing between the ears. He wouldn't be able to play in a system like coach CBJ's. The team is playing like a team now, and I think that's in part to having leadership in the locker room which wasn't here last year. Tyler was most likely a cancer to the team similar to Da'Rick. I think he threw the Kentucky game 2 years ago and the Vandy game last year just to ensure Dooley's firing. Finding out that he took money was the last straw for me. There aren't many former players that I have 0 respect for, but he is certainly one of them.

If he really did try to get Dooley fired then I respect him :hi:

Dooley was doing just fine on his own with regards to getting fired. Throwing a game when your teammates are working their butts off and people pay their hard earned money to watch the game is pathetic. There is nothing respectable about that.

still talking about "what if bray was here" smh....im glad both parties moved on.he would be ineligible anyway and there would be much more publicity on this extra benefits case.

Agree...and that is it in a nutshell.

Plus all the time and snaps in spring devoted to him versus the other QBs. Plus we probably don't sign Dobbs. Like Dooley it was time for him to go. He was an infection. His staying would have delayed the rebuilding process by a year or two

A thug, really? Lol You should probably stay in your gated community if you think he was a thug, the real world might scare you.

He was a thug. Spoiled rotten kid that did not want to be here. Very selfish, self centered and self serving.

Lots of Bray bashing going on here. Personally I'd like to thank Tyler Bray for throwing the Vandy game last year because it resulted in Doofus getting fired and Butch coming on board.

As for Tyler being mad or not, I really doubt he's mad UT is winning a little. If anything he is a little envious, and probably was mad while he was here because he had 1st round talent and a dumbass for a head coach.

Think or know. If he has been back on campus it was self serving. Still doesn't change anything, he is still a thug.

Tennessee has a QB who has directed two late game drives down the field to take the lead in a SEC game vs top ranked teams and you're talking about the guy who could go down the field on kyjelly!....good grief

Where are the Bray lovers? Sometimes they jump on these first thing, getting less ans less a Volnation problem. Rather have Worley and his flaws then Bray.

Dooley was gone after the Miss State and Missouri games. No need to think that he was going to be retained. Bray again ensured no bowl with the Vandy game loss.

Go back and watch the game. Receivers open missed. Dooley gone already what was the use.

Think, I recall reading an article that mentioned he was among the former vols visitors watching practice, though I can't produce the article as it was awhile back and the subject wasn't Bray visiting. Also, how would a visit to UT be self serving? You're literally clouded with anger. Did he bang your girl or something? j/k but seriously..

As for him being a thug, you're entitled to your own opinion, but if you think Tyler Bray is a thug, you need to go read up on Marcus Vick, Aaron Hernandez, etc. - some REAL thugs...

Bray just had (from the outside looking in) an immature, "bad" attitude. Personally, I'm going to reserve judgement because I'm not a player on the team during the Dooley years and based on all the tidbits we've heard, God only knows just how badly managed the UT program was under his "leadership."

Better days ahead though, we've got a great head coach know that really understands Tennessee football and what it means to be a VOL. :)

Don't worry he isn't mad right now he is with his girl as we all know from looking at his instagram, "2 more days till she is here. Couldn't be happier." @tbraychief9:wub:

It would have been a riot to see VN discussions as Bray sat the bench behind Worley and Peterman, as we lost and they grew into the role, because CBJ wouldn't put up with Bray's antics.

However, you can't discount the possibility that Bray could have responded to strong leadership and become a strong leader on the team. (But he still would have warmed the bench with Mo.)

Uh, no.

Forget that he took money. No one played well for Dooley because he was an unlikeable coach. If I played for Dooley I guess i would be in jail for rape because I would have shoved a football up his uptight a$$.

This. How many times did dooley and bray get into arguments during games? It was a lot.

I don't have to read up on Vick or Hernandez they are thugs too. They are in that Thug area that is classified as Gangsters.

There are thugs in every program and there are coaches that will tolerate their Thugdom... CBJ would not have tolerated Bray's crap. It is worthless to even think about him being here this year because he would have delayed everything by a year with the Money incident and the attitude.

I love players with attitude but when it was comes to controlling the results I don't respect them. Dooley and he were in a pissing contest constantly and Bray got the best of him. You don't think that T. Poole and other seniors were pissed off at him for no reason.

Bray is a talent but not a team player. Influencing the team not to give it their all is a problem. CBJ and he would never have done well together and the infection needed to be cut out of the system.

Bray was butt hurt but we coddled to him at first. He never compromised. He would have been on the Couch with Couch. I hate threads like this they are useless because they serve no purpose. T Bray may have visited and he will do fine in the NFL and that is where he belongs. Glad he made it.

Still doesn't change my opinion. Just glad we got energy back into program......CBJ is the man that will take this program back to prominence if given the time.

I don't think we make this kind of improvement if Bray is still here without Hunter or CP. Anybody that Tatoos their Back with their name on it is the first step of Thug Dom. J/K but I still laughing at him for doing so.

Seriously I don't think he would have cut it with CBJ so he was best to move on because of the $$ and the potential conflict. He got away with a lot with Dooley.

The fact that you think this team would be 6-1 with Tyler Bray at the helm is all I need to know. He couldn't lead a team with greatest UT players of all time to 6-1. He was a very selfish player and an even poorer leader. UT is lucky that he is no longer with the program. He has a lot of raw talent but will need some major maturing if he ever plans on being a successful NFL qb

This former Vol long snapper will make $630,000.00 this year and $730,000.00 next year which is $230,000.00 per year more then Bray.

I'm going to go practice my snapping now.
