It wasn't that they were too young, they just acted like a bunch of street ballers

I am not taking anything away from Bruce Pearl, I mean without Pearl, Tennessee Basketball would still be in the same pathetic state it was in with Buzz Peterson. Now to disecting the first round game against Okie State, they showed heart, but they just were playing like a bunch of street ballers, I mean just inside, throwing elbows, just messing up when they were within two of okie state. Okie State stepped up and took it inside and did not back down, Tennessee on the other hand got frustrated and just started throwing it around without abandon and basically played like it was a 5 on 5 game at Rucker Park, I guess next year may be the year, but I hate to get my hopes up, GO Vols!!!

They will be WAY better next year than this year....Remember, in Bruces' 2nd year, after losing Stanley Asumno, CJ Watson, and Andre Patterson, they were stuggling early on........They finally came together at the end of the year, and peaked at the NCAA tourney, and almost pulled a stunning upset against Ohio State........The next year they were 1000X better, but still not good enough to overcome an aweseom Louisville team.......

Next year will be 1000X better than this year. but that doesn't necessarily mean final four, or anythhing......WE have to understand that Tennessee had NO Bball program, and didn't recruit any good NBA players, outside of like 2 or 3 in it's entire history........You basically can't get to the final four, without any good NBA players, you have to have at least 1.........

With alot of improvment, UT will ahve a shot to make an elite 8 run or maybe deepr next year......But if they get to the sweet 16, it's still a step in the right direction......I just wanna win the SEC tourny!!!

No we won't be 1000x times better. We'll be fortunate to finish 11-5 or 10-6 again in the SEC since it should be better overall.

We don't really add much (who knows how Kenny Hall will do and Jurick if he gets some PT) and we could potentially lose two of our best players.

We still will have the same coach(running a gimmicky system that probably will never win consistently in any kind of tournament and also does a bad job with half court offense/defense) and the same players who don't seem to care enough to play defense and are not very disciplined....

We weren't super young. We were young - but it could have been worse. Williams/Prince/Smith/Wayne/Tabb/Maze/Tatum weren't first year players.

I'm pretty confident I know how Jurick will do if given playing time.

I love when people use code words because they don't have the stones to say what they really mean.

Taking a page out of Hat's book there I see. Why don't you just sit back and watch your boy Gillespie in the NIT and then talk about how that's the style that wins championships.

Sure did treat him fairly well at TAMU. And I don't think he's the greatest. I also watched Rick Pitino's press against us last year which was about 100x most effective than our trap off the first pass - then get burnt and either give up an easy lay up or back off. Made Pearl's style of press look pathetic. His teams also know how to execute a half court offense effectively and play defense every once and awhile.

Do you really want to go into coach's records against other coaches?

What? Are you going to bring up the fact that Bruce has won 7 out of 8 against the Gators who have won 2 recent National Titles? Once again - that was the perfect storm with that Florida roster and kiffinator could have coached those teams to a NC.
