You also have to consider the fact that UK has had two pretty crappy season to UK's standards and it's only his second year and the past two season Tennessee has had the best season in our school history and a decent season. It usually takes them being there 3-4 years to fully accomplish what they want because you have to be able to get on the freshmen/sophomores early and make a good impression. Although - Billy has already done that a bit by robbing the cradle.

Yes, but you also have to consider that Pearl brought in a class before a coached his first game comprised of Ramar, Duke, Wayne, and Tabb that was considered near a top ten class, and Tennessee's program was coming off 4 years of the great Buzz Peterson. Granted Ramar and Duke didn't work out, but it was still an impressive recruiting effort.

Childress was his lone commit that first year and was a previous UWM commit.

Bruce Pearl is a good recruiter - I just think CBG is one step above - but still not quite in the elite (top 4 or so).
