Its about to get real

You can pick the phone back up, there was really no need to hang up in the first place.
I have voted D in every presidential election since 1980. I would love to see some better options for a change, maybe '24.

How long have been legal to vote? 1980 was 41 years ago and you still work so that would make you around 60 so I am going to venture out a limb and say you have never voted for anyone but a Democrat, so he wasn't wrong

You voted for Biden and Clinton when those primaries were fixed. You did as you were told by your party
Good grief that is tiresome.

Both of those votes were votes against Trump; if anything, I was voting against who the repubs. told me to vote for.

Why didn’t you vote third party? I did in 2016 because I couldn’t stand Trump.

Sure he was wrong. He said I vote for who they tell me to vote for but the reality is that I vote for who I damn well please.
The two do happen to align, but that's more of a function of the repubs putting up such horrible choices.

I hope you don't giggle as if that is some kind of gotcha.
I’m confused, you always talk about how much character matters in presidential candidates, yet you voted for Bill Clinton over George H.W. Bush and Bob Dole? So I guess character doesn’t matter that much to you after all.

No you voted Dem because you wanted one in office. You voted for the one the party told you to. They removed all choice for you and you still did as instructed. You continue to prove it's all about party for you not what's best for the country. But don't worry, there are plenty of repubs in here who do the same.

No you don't, you vote for the party. If you didn't support a candidate in the primaries why would vote for them in the general?

Because a third party vote benefited Trump more than a vote Hillary.
My oft stated stance is ........I have always voted for the viable candidate who I believe to be best, or least worst.
I'm dying for there to be a viable 3rd option that I could support.

It matters a good deal, but the character differential between them was nowhere near enough to compensate for the other differences.

Maybe if you keep saying it you can will it into truth - but I'm guessing not.

So you're good with electing a rapist as long as they have good policy? You're a man of solid principles
I didn't vote for Trump.

But there is admittedly a trade off and balancing act that we all must negotiate. I can tell you one thing for certain, during the primaries, I will vote for the viable candidate with the most character about 100% of the time. If everyone would only do that.....

Because they are so much more preferable than the other viable candidate - come on guys, it's not rocket science.

I am still not sure how one is supposed to objectively weigh a candidate’s “character”. Their entire professional life is obsfuscated; spun, and protected by a veritable army of handlers, especially if they are lifelong politicians

Didn't you vote for Bernie in one of the primaries?
