At the direction of his handler he basically sandbagged his entire college career to avoid injury. How else do yo go from being the feature back at UT in year one and wind up being 4th string at KSU...then suddenly "Beast out" in the NFL? His "handler" robbed fans and Bryce himself of what could have been a stellar college career. One word "Greed"!!!

If he did decide this, who can blame him?

Running backs have a shelf life.

If this is due to some phantom "handler", then said "handler" did his job. He protected Bryce and got him into the NFL.

Emmett, Barry, Herschel,...there is an endless list of NFL greats that didn't sell out on college. It's called integrity.

He played one year at UT, did well, and left. Just be happy for a kid succeeding at a life long dream.

Who's being mature here? The 21 year old who had some adversity and now is a starting RB in the most premier football league in the world...or the adult on a message board criticizing an 18 year old's decision making and calling him out because of a lack of "integrity" when said poster doesn't even know the whole story?

Where do I get one of these "handlers"? This one did a great job. I've been in school for 7 years AFTER college and will continue to make less than BB makes in a month.

So you want our next feature back to skip around and not bring it? Keep going while you are way behind. Dumb post.

I'm sorry. When was Bryce Brown the feature back at Tennessee? That'd be never.

Again, go ahead and call out a 21 year old who's making six figures and living his dream and did nothing illegal about it on a message board. That integrity is looking really good.

What's his contract look like compared to Trent Richardson's?

As a 7th round pick, Bryce is only on a two year contract I believe. He's not making $5M this year like Trent, but because he has such little wear and tear on him (unlike Trent) and isn't locked long term for five years, he has the potential to make more money than Richardson.

He also has the potential to tear his knee on the next play and never play again.

However, good for Bryce and I wish nothing but the best for him.

Exactly! Not even close. He might moonlight carrying Trent's luggage. That's the cost.

Interesting considering Bryce Brown has more rushing yards in a half than Richardson has had in a game and it is his first start.

So once again you are OK with UT wasting a scholly on a kid saving himself for the NFL? Hey he's 21 and making millions...so what if we fork over $100 for a ticket to see a kid do nothing...you're ok with that? Alrighty then ZJC. Please buy me season tix next year.:good!:

Both of their careers could end tomorrow. Richardson has $21 million guaranteed coming to him. Brown's got nothing.

I'm happy for Brown; it was always pretty obvious that he was a confused kid pulled in a bunch of different directions by grownups with their own agendas. I'm glad he's ended up in the NFL. But the idea that this has somehow maximized the value of his talent is crazy.
