Prayers going out brother, what a beautiful family, thanks for sharing. So great to hear the good news that you have had recently.

I expect there will be good days and less than good days and every day should be treated as a blessing. It is easy for me to say on the outside looking in, but you have to be your family's rock, your wife and kids are counting on you and I can tell by looking that you can be that rock for them.

It's still some in her spine but the docs say she has it in full retreat. It was an very good day brother. She has improved every day for 10 days straight now with no setbacks. Her doctors are now cautiously optimistic that she will go into intial remission within 4 to 8 weeks. That would be a dream come true.

I’ve seen this the last few days. It really hits home with me. I hope you and her are doing better today than yesterday. I know what kind of grind that can put on a person. Especially with that helpless feeling that I know you must have. Just wanting it to take it from her yet knowing the roles, if reversed, might complicate things even more. I couldn’t imagine doing it with kids. I hope your everything comes back to you.

Hey guys quick update. Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. We had a setback. She developed a few cysts like infections under the skin on her right leg and arm. They had to take her into surgery and drain them and will have to do it again today. The moment they are cleared up they are going to give her a massive does of chemo. It will be given for 30 hour straight and hopefully it will stop any new cancer from being created. The downside is it stops healthy blood cells from forming to so its critical avoids any infections.

If this is successful then she could go into her initial remission in a matter of a couple weeks fingers crossed. As soon as she's up to it we are going to put a thank you video up for you all. Thanks once again for all the love prayers and support Nation. The Volnation family is truly one of a kind. I'd be in a sorry place without yall. Love you all

If your wife needs transfusions/ infusions, and her hospital will take directed donations, please post here. I’m O+, not quite universal donor (OK for blood types, but won’t work if they’re Rh negative.)

I would be honored to make donations in her name. :hi:

—for those who aren’t aware, having access to transfusions is very important for those with leukemia and other hematopoietic cancers. Treating the malignancy often results in killing off the blood-cell formation by the bone marrow.

I think it did as well. The big hit was because the thread needed moved i guess and most folks don't come to the OFF Topic thread just randomly. Not sure how to get more exposure for Dennis and his family but maybe someone smarter than me can help. They have a long row to hoe.

I'm sorry I haven't updated sooner but we've had a big step back. We found out that she has a staph infection in her left lung and spleen. She is getting a ct scan right now and hopefully we'll know more soon. I won't lie I'm terrified right now but hopefully they can stop it in it's tracks.
