It's Been The Darkest Time In My Life

Prayers Hoss. My aunt was just diagnosed with a very rare uterine cancer. Her children are all adults now, but I spent a lot of my childhood in their house, with my cousins, playing in their pool, and she was the family’s science fair project and speech writing superwoman. Seeing how torn up my cousins are over this and my mom is (who already lost two brothers at a young age) has been heartbreaking. I can’t fathom how hard this is for you and your little ones. I hope you can find your faith again and find the comfort and peace God can provide you in these times. Reach out to us whenever you need.

Great point!

You can register at your local blood donation site, for Chattanooga that is Blood Assurance.

Go to BeTheMatch.org for more information.

Another consideration for blood donors is donating plasma. For cancer patients that is what is usually needed. Haven't read up yet on the other disease.

However a word of caution...it may not be for everyone. It takes considerably longer. They take blood from one arm, pump it thru a centrifuge to separate the plasma, and pump your blood back in the other arm.

You will feel the effects afterwards.

But it is a great way to help.

As Volly said, Blood Assurance does it in Chattanooga.

Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers brother. She was finally able to lift herself to her wheelchair today and no nausea from the chemo. She is making progress everyday.

Good to hear this!
Yup she can actually wheel into her bathroom now. She is beyond trilled because no more bed pan lol. Her latest spinal tap came back and the cancer looks gone in her brain. It's still some in her spine but the docs say she has it in full retreat. It was an very good day brother. She has improved every day for 10 days straight now with no setbacks. Her doctors are now cautiously optimistic that she will go into intial remission within 4 to 8 weeks. That would be a dream come true.

Thank you so much my friend. I may no longer be religious but you don't know how bad I want to be wrong. I want to find my faith again I truly do. Joe even though we've never met you feel like a brother I've never had. I've never been this scared and lost in my entire life and you'll never know what your support means to me brother.
All you need to do is ask Jesus to come into your heart and tell him you need his help for your wife and family. All my best wishes and prayers for you, your wife and your family in this time of need for comfort and healing.

I have no words man. Damn you for making me tear up again. I'm speechless

Duncan, that is something everybody should consider. Most of us? It just never occurs to us, or we get paranoid at the risks.

But as much as I hate Vanderbilt, I know they got top notch people in that hospital. We lose too many good people to that stinking disease. If I can save one, it's worth the trip.

Father - I pray that you bless this family with peace, comfort and healing. You are the Great Physician, Lord, for with you, all things are possible. We thank you for what you’ve done and for what you will do, and will be quick to give you all the praise and glory. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

She had a really do day today. She still can't walk but she can now stand with a walker. The nausea hit her hard this morning but it passed and she was able to eat all her dinner and she was pain free the rest of the day. She has been overwhelmed by all the support you all has shown her. She want's to make a thank you video sometime in the next few days and I'll post it the moment she's done.

Once again thank you all for the thoughts, prayers, support, and kind words. It's overwhelming and I had to wait till she was asleep because I knew I would start crying again when I started reading your posts. Thank You Nation. Thank you for picking me up.
