Duncan, i am still at fort sanders hospital in Knox. Praying for you and yours bro. My dad lost his battle, despite being very brave. He had a heart attack Sunday afternoon on top of the cancer, and they will be turning off the machines today, because he made his wishes clear that he didnt want to be kept alive by machines. He will go to be with Jesus later today, praise His name.

Hope y'all are doing better today, and that the peace of the Lord comes upon your family. God bless you and yours.

Sorry for the delay and hopefully tonight I will have time to go through more of yalls messages. Thanks once again for all the support and love. It means the world to us

A small update: They believe they got all the staph out of her right leg. It's still open and she will need skin graphs to heal it. They still haven't detrermined if the infection in her breast lung and spleen is MRSA. They just got done doing a biopsy on her breast and will know for sure by tomorrow. The good news is that it hasn't spread any further. The bad news is that they can't figure out why it keeps popping back up. It's still very touch and go but she is fighting back hard.

As far as the cancer is concerned the chemo is doing it's job brilliantly to this point. It's out of her brain and kidneys and they think it may be out of her spine too. We just have to get this infection under control before it moves to her heart, brain, or liver.

I believe every hospital in America has problems with staph and MRSA.... when my mom and dad were in and out of the hospital so much... I noticed all of the yellow signs on patient doors and etc.... not to mention they both got it more than once.

They'll get rid rid of it D.....

I think they can and will. They're hitting hit hard and she seems to be responding good so far. It hasn't spread in the last 48 hours which is encouraging. Staph is an epidemic in hospitals everywhere so I knew this could happen. It's so frustrating because you has the cancer on the run and just when we were starting to look ahead to getting her into rehab to walk again this hits. I swear it ain't fair, but she hasn't lost her resolve. She is so much stronger than I could ever be. Her courage and fighting spirit keeps reminding me how lucky I am to have her as my wife. I've never deserved her.

She is fighting back the cancer nicely but she has MRSA in her left lung, breast, spleen, and possibly heart. They are hitting it hard with antibiotics and it hasn't seemed to spread in the last 24 hours. They found a blood clot in her left leg Monday but they were able to dissolve it.

Mentally and emotionally she's holding up better than I could ever dream. She's not going without a fight.
