That could be Hart's thinking. Strong coached winning defense in the SEC and nationally. No doubts there. Question is the offensive staff. With Strong's record, his current salary, and Loui's determination to keep him, the number does not surprise me. If a proven offensive staff is in the plan, we should be where we need to be.

Before you get to excited news station in Stillwater is saying the exact same thing about Gundy. I like Gundy but I'm sick of Jimmy Sexton being Tennessee's personal search committee. In case some don't know Sexton is Lane Kiffin's agent, Derek Dooley's agent, Mike Gundy's agent and Jim Mora Jr. One reason I like Strong is because he has no agent and handles everything himself.

If bray and company leave, which is more of a chance than not, our run game is gonna have to carry us. Part of me wants to keep Chaney, but not for the fact that we will have to be run happy next year.

Yet to understand why so many on here want to keep Chaney. He has been just as much the problem the past few years. Why did Kiffen leave him behind if he is so good? We can do alot better!

Chaney is a dreadful play caller. A lot of the non astute football people on here fail to understand this.

In no way am I comparing Strong to these next 2 guys but saying what u did at a previous job doesn't mean squat. Saban never won crap at MSU, he was a co league champion at Toledo, failed with the Dolphins and the Browns were terrible when he was the DC. He seems to have turned out ok. Les Miles had 1 big win at Okie St and that was the last game he coached there. Both of these guys though improved there teams from the 1st season to the last.

I'm not saying Strong will be the next Saban or Miles but just because he went 10-2 in the big east doesn't mean he can't coach. Truth is, there's not many options out there and i think he's probably one of the top 2 coaches we could hire.

If we get Strong, I guess I will have to live with it.....I prefer Gundy as HC and hire Butch Davis as DC....its not like a lot of teams are falling all over him to b a head coach again....he may actually take it....but I digress, it will prob be Strong....hope he wins
