It's official, Alabama 09-10 worst team of all BCS NC teams

There's a crapton of those Buckeyes in the NFL. They would destroy this year's Iowa team.
Maybe so, but I think that any other BCS champion, including the 2007 Tigers, could beat them on a neutral field.

The Big Ten wasn't as "weak" then as it's been lately. They still won all their games. Didn't 2007 LSU lose in OT to Kentucky and the week before the SECCG to Arkansas? 1998 UT barely won a few games like Syracuse, UF, and Arkansas. Not sure I'd call an undefeated NC who beat a great team in the NC game the worst when there's plenty of 1 loss champs to choose from.
They spent half their games hanging on for dear life. They weren't some awful team, but I think they're the worst of the championship teams in the BCS era.

Nah, with the way both those teams play they'd probably win by 3. But yeah that team had a lot of NFL talent, most of which returned the next year. Say what you will about Clarett, but he was as talented as anyone as a freshman also.

He was good, but he was hurt a lot.

I'd love to be able to make such matchups happen, but oh well. OSU, despite some close games, beat Miami. LSU lost to Arkansas and Kentucky. There needs to be a special BCS clause that says you cannot go to a BCS Championship if you lose to Kentucky.

That's fine you think that but the mark of a great team is winning, which they did every single game that year. They're not the greatest of all time but far from the worst.

I'd agree their resume isn't the worst, but I still think they would lose if they played the 2007 Tigers. Of course there's no way to prove that...

I don't know about worst all time, but I think they were the worst of the era. The 2006 Gators may be up there. The championship game distracted people from the fact that they were also fortunate the entire year... They did however look completely different in the title game.

Also go find all my post where I congratulate UT when they have won since I have been a member here as well as route for them in games.

Struggled to beat a handicapped overrated Texas team while getting all the breaks.

Congrats!

Don't forget to send Daniel Lincoln a thank-you card. ;-)

Even had Tennessee beaten them, Bama probably still would have played for the NC.

Yeah many people didn't think that UF team even belonged because of all their close games. I wish OSU would've at least shown up. They and '04 OU had the most pathetic NC performances.

And I don't see how Bama can be considered the worst NC team. They got lucky against UT, but I don't think luck had anything to do with the rest of the season.

Bama bought another nat title. I guess they will claim 20 now since they like to make stuff up.

06 Gators would brutalize the 07 Tigers. Hell, the Tigers were lucky not to lose to the 07 Gators.
