It's OFFICIAL... Tennessee is loaded for 2009/10

Pearl is a good coach, not a gr8 coach, and with Pearl at the helm we will never win a national title unless we get the next LeBron James or Dwight Howard.

I don't see us as being loaded by any stretch of the imagination. Are we better with Tyler? Yes. Even with a point guard I'm not sure this team would a sweet 16 team.

If they managed to grasp any sort of consistency, then yes they most definitely would be.

UK will have a lot more talent on the floor than last years Memphis squad - and possible the same or more than they had two years ago - it will just be younger with the exception of PP and Meeks.[/QUOTE]

Talent, possibly. As good a team, doubt it. I believe Mr. Dorsey dominated Mr. Patterson head to head a few years ago. Wonder what he would do to Cousins? Don't see anyone on the UK lineup that could shut down CDR or Rose. Anderson would blanket Meeks ala Law IV, Nietzel, Westbrook, Abrams, et al. 2007-2008 Tigers would romp this UK team.

You are speaking of yourself of course?

Ask anyone with any intelligence on this board and they will tell you that, while I may have regretfully been a little rude to some people, I have brought a lot of intelligence to this board.

i'm sorry, i don't think we are as good as we were before. JP Prince plays zero defense and cries everytime he misses a shot or is called for a foul. We were better w/ buzz's boys than bruce's

The title of this thread irritates me to no end.

Why? The "It's Official" was a play on the fact that Tyler had just made it "official" that he was coming back.

They are pretty loaded, but regardless, it's my opinion that they're loaded. Do we have a proven point guard? No, but there is promise at that position. Maze has had a year and summer to develop and of course we have Goins coming in and will either earn the starting job or he'll at least push Maze to be a better PG.

I never said UT was THE favorite to win the SECC. All i said was "Tennessee looks to be a strong choice for SEC Champs."

And with Meeks announcing he's not coming back to UK, it's now a tossup, IMO, between UK and UT, with UT having the edge, for SECC's.

It does seem that Pearls up tempo style matches up with Caliparos maybe even better than it did with Gillespies slower more methodical style of game play..this might actually, just maybe, be an advantage that he is the new UK coach..as crazy as it sounds..rememeber Pearls only SEC trouble was with Gilespie.

What's Pearl's record against Andy Kennedy?

Other than experience, we will probably be the same undisciplined team that never gelled last year. We don't have "Team" players that are willing to give up identity for the better of the team. I'm not saying that you can't point out the better from the average, I'm saying working as a cohesive unit. We had our best shot IMO when we had Ohio State down 23?? at halftime.

seriously though? That could be one of the more ridiculous comments I've heard on this board. Your 600 posts in a couple of weeks does not warrant intelligence, it warrants a person who needs to get a job and set some priorities in their life.

When you need to point out your intelligence, you have already failed.
