IU vs UT play off

They are not out because Ole Miss lost. The one issue is I originally thought the ACC and Big 12 get one team each but a 2nd team could sneak in for one or the other.
How in the world is a second team sneaking in for the Big 12?

Or are you saying you originally thought earlier today that they’d get two teams in?

I’ll bet you $10,000 a second Big 12 team doesn’t get in.

To say they were never in the game is BS.
They
To say they were never in the game is BS.
Correction - they were in the game until mid 3d- quarter. Ohio state had their way w them in the trenches. The onslaught began after the half.

Indiana is not a top 12 team but will benefit from Bama loss.

If you want to anoint them as a powerhouse then that’s your right. But their schedule is pathetic and today proved they are a pretender.

Yes, that’s exactly what I said. Go back and read my original post. I said “ Indiana is a powerhouse and deserves to be in the top 12.”

Dumba$$.

There is probably only going to be a maximum of 3 SEC teams in the playoffs - so that opens up either the Big 12 of ACC to get more than 1 OR a 3 loss SEC team would have to make it in.

With the other teams losing Indiana will definitely still get in. I only pray that Tennessee gets them in the first round, home or away makes no difference to me.

Well to edit that, as a season ticket holder it makes some difference. I only meant the location wouldn't matter as we advance...

I am a UT can they and thru. But born and raised in Indiana and am thrilled for IU and the season they have had. Im on their board and simply stating an objective view sharing that this BAD loss over OSU hurts theirs chances a lot.

One guy said “a one loss IU team getting left out over a two loss UT team is laughable.”

What would your response be? 🤔
151 total yards of offense against their only quality opponent. 75 of those in garbage time.

Indiana still has a 97% chance to get in. TIFWIW

Tennessee will be in the CFP when they defeat Vanderbilt, so why should Tennessee fans care whether Indiana gets in the Playoff or not?

The problem teams with one game seasons have is they must win that one game. IU’s tough-talking coach, weak schedule and a historically bad on field performance wreaks of 2022 TCU

I will spare you from being ripped on your thread.

Wins:

FIU (sucks)
W Illinois (sucks)
UCLA sucks and is 4-6
Charlotte (sucks)
Maryland sucks and is 4-7
Northwestern sucks and is 4-6
Nebraska sucks and is 5-5
Washington sucks and is 6-5
Michigan State sucks and is 5-6
Michigan sucks and is 5-5

Losses:
Lost to Ohio State by 23 points

Purdue: not played yet but Purdue is 1-10
Vanderbilt would be 10-1 with this schedule and wouldn’t have lost to Ohio State by 23

They’re a 10 win team in a Power 5 conference with only a single loss to a top 2 team.

They’re most likely going to be fine at the moment If they lose again next week to 1-win Purdue it’s a completely different story; but as of right now they’re pretty likely to still be in the playoff rankings running with the committee next week.

Honestly at this point, both teams are probably in at the moment.
I could easily see Clemson jumping them

So to host a playoff game what do we need to happen? Obviously starts with beating Vandy, USC beats Notre Dame, Texas A&M beats Texas but loses to Georgia in the championship game?
