For me its him playing Pearl and Mcbee, when its obvious they suck, thats turning me against him. Its hard to rotate 12 or 14 guys in any situation, but when he cut the rotation down he cut the wrong 2!!!

I can not understand why the negative posters are not working as championship coaches since they are such great sideline coaches. Maybe one of the next vacant coachs spots will be filled by any one of these guys!

The teams should be getting progressively better. They are not. Talent should improve over time. It is not.

I don't know who else should be doing the job, but it's time to cut bait.

Yes, let's ditch Pearl and get back to the way things were! Back to the basketball glory days at UT. We only made it to the Elite 8 last year? I'm fed up with this Pearl business too!

How about you let the rest of the season play out first?

There were a TON of these posts last year as well (after losses of course) and that season ended up in the Elite 8.

I'm not a knee jerk type of guy. I stuck by Fulmer for a very long time. I think it's time to make the call, simple as that.

I think a lot of us are forgetting what it was like to watch buzzball (for those who even watched when Buzz was the coach). Bruce Pearl took us higher than this program has ever been. Ever. And he didn't do it in '98 or 2000, he did it last year. And he lost the two real leaders of that elite team in Chism and Prince. I think the fact that we are as young as we are and have gone through the things that we have and are still in a competitive position is a very good thing, and its going to take more than one sub par season for me to jump ship.
It is amazing how privileged we as Vol basketball fans have become in the last five years. I'm not so quick to forget what TBA looks like three quarters empty. I never want to see that again, and I know with CBP I never will.

There was nothing of this nature last year. Very, very few were calling for change. The loudest cry was to change style somewhat, not change the coach.

You're throwing in the towel with 7 games to go in the regular season and the team is in 2nd place in the East. I'd call that knee-jerk.

There were TONS of posts calling for change. Weekly in fact.

After New Year's Eve the board was flooded with them.

I can't figure out how we have 4 top 100 players on the scout team that can't see the floor for meaningful minutes. I can understand 1 bust, but 4 atthe same time? Something doesn't add up.

yes, and undisciplined play, poor decision making, lack of PG, weak defense, lazy rebounding, cherry picking, sulking, trotting back on D, easy layups, disastrous offensive approach...


by the by, 64 teams go to the tournament every year. That's only a benchmark for us because our history is shameful and Dickey made it worse. Jerry Green couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper sack and went four times in a row. Remind me why we fired DeVoe?

Tied for 2nd, 2 games back. They replaced them with Harris, Golden and McRae, a pretty good class. But they're not seniors.
