Tied for 2nd, 2 games back. They replaced them with Harris, Golden and McRae, a pretty good class. But they're not seniors.

negative. We're only tied with Kentucky on record. They have the lead.

I can not understand why some of these negative posters are not now coaching Championship teams. They seem to have all the exact answers. Maybe when another opening for a new coach come up, one will be selected from the Negators on this post.

Im a Vol!!! Not a negative Vol!!!

yeah we're tied with UK. I believe they own the tiebreaker

and we only start replacing seniors with freshmen? Why can't we have a Sr step in for a Sr?

People who know me around here, know that I do not run around posting negative material.

I think it's time to make the call. I said what I think.

Hallmarks of every SEC coach this year. Let's get rid of em all....yah yah yah

no, those aren't hallmarks of every SEC coach, though I will say that the league has some sorry coaches on board. There are a few exceptions.

So all coaches/programs have a star "senior to be" ready to step in and take the reigns and lead? It doesn't always work out that way.

You have every right in the world to your opinion, we all do.

However, you making your choice after an ugly loss last night is typical of many individuals. You don't see these types of posts after a win.

how many don't? OSU seems to have reloaded just fine as does UK. There are plenty of examples

I think this was his final straw much like the 05 football season was for me.

Losing a game to Kentucky? That happens a lot more than it doesn't and might be that way for the remainder of time.

The thing that kills me is watching the effort the teams Bruce put on the floor his first two years with the Vols compared to now. It is just incredible the difference in hustle, care, emotion etc.

Well, it looked as if there were some players for KY last night that were not seniors, as well. Guess freshmen works for them, but not for us.

Ohio State last 3 years are NIT, First round NCAA and Sweet 16. They aren't reloading every year.

Prior to last year's Elite 8 Kentucky hasn't done squat in the tourney for awhile.

I'm not going to dig into facts and figures but VERY few teams just keep reloading each and every year. Losing 3seniors was tough for this team and it takes time.

You better fire every single coach in the nation then because NONE of them are recruiting freshman like Calapari is and will do at Kentucky.

Yeah, absolutely no reason to think that this team had any chance of being a tournament team this year. Bringing in a top 5 player and two 4 stars that were added to the roster wasn't any reason to think we could possibly be a good team this year. Wait until they are seniors. It just takes time.

Effort is something to b*tch about though. These players aren't running after lose balls, running 100% or even boxing out

I think the NCAA punishment that's coming is taking it's toll on Bruce and the team.JMO

Who said they weren't a tournament team? I didn't.

Like I said, still a lot of games to be played.

Exiting the Dance before the regional semis consistently would be the final straw for me. Losing one regular season game out 30 is far from sealing his fate. Once again, Vol Nation proves to largely overreact after a defeat.

but we must remember that Jimmy Swaggart got back on track and returned to the pulpit after his transgressions.
