People seem to want to think I've said this because we lost to Kentucky.
I have simply come to the conclusion that Tennessee is not going to improve beyond the level at which it is now with this staff.
Change does not guarantee further success(see UT football)... but if you are not striving to go next level, you certainly will not.
No Pearl Homer here but to blame him for a "Big White Guy" getting 10 points over his average seems to fall in Big Baby's/Fields hands for the most part. Averages 6 got 16. Just saying.

I don't know about happy. Are you not happy with the overall record of BP at Tennessee? Are you not happy with his tournament resume?

It's been satisfying to see the Tennessee program raise it's national stature. The question to be asked is.....'Are we going to push the envelope higher with Pearl coaching the team?'... I used this thread to tell fellow VNers that I don't think so.
I understand that others prefer to stick with this level of success... Find it refreshing for Tennessee. That's okay too.
Me. I'm wanting more.
My answer would be yes if not for the following -
1) Very inconsistent and at times downright awful/stupid play the last 3 seasons that seems to be more common than not.
2) I don't see anything that says that level of success can continue after this season based on current roster assumptions.
3) The 10,000 pound anvil hanging over the program right now that is a direct result of Pearl himself that could possibly set the program back to even worse shape than he inherited it in.
In 5 full years he's 126-46 with 2 Sweet 16's and 1 Elite 8. Also, they've won the SEC E 3 times.
That's not too shabby, a lot of programs would love to have those results.
Believe me, I understand wanting to take it higher though. Fans get spoiled with success and always want more, that's the nature of the beast.
Are fans expectations unreasonable though? Not always but usually, yes.
