If he's the best of their board, why not?? Doesn't mean they think he can save their programs or anything, just means he's the best on their boards. Jesse is a good QB, but he's not the savior QB or our program or the programs your mentioned.
Not all highly touted QB prospects turn out as advertised . . .

I just saying these guys usually commit early. As far as Boyd goes I don't care if he didn't fit our system I think he could have contributed to the offense this year or at least competed for the starting job. IMO, I don't think he would have had a problem picking up a Pro style offense.

Scroggins doesn't strike me as the type to win championships, and honestly none of these guys do that we are recruiting at this point.
Verbals are just that. Dont mean squat till they sign.
what is concerning to me was that clawson and company were able to lock up some offensive recruits early even before the season started, and these guys have not gotten one.
I have faith in the staff - but it is an area of concern

Oh yeah, definitely. Verbals are terrible. They mean nothing. There is definitely no way that the large majority of kids who have verballed somewhere end up signing there.
In fact, we're probably better off going into NSD with no verbals at all. I'm sure we can still lock down a solid recruiting class without getting any of those pesky verbals along the way.
